xQc

General Discussion
Banning xQc is wrong...
No way he deserves to be banned. There are literally worse offenders with more popular streams... There are streamers who have done more negative things to effect Overwatch's reputation and those players have seen NO ACTION at all.

So just because there are people who are worse makes it OK for him? C'mon now.

If you don't think he should be banned because of doing this, then I have no words for you. This is inexcusable.

Wow. The fact that you're even allowed to report the same person multiple times in 30 seconds.
This is him complaining when get reads the email and he acts like he did nothing wrong and then says reddit is the one that enforces these bans.

It's a joke that people even defend this kind of behavior

Well children think it is "Cool" to do this.

A good chunk of his viewers are most likely children or people whom are immature.

Only thing wrong I see here is it just said xQc left the game.
It should say xQc was banned in the chat, so people know why they are not longer in game.

I don't care about the ban really. But why 3 days, when they're banning everybody else for a day only?

I mean.

If you passed judgement on something.

And everyone said "your judgement is flawed, now X is going to happen."

And then you said "My judgement is fair" and didn't even acknolwedge the possibility of X happening because you believe it won't.

And then somone goes and streams themselves doing X in front of everyone as a result of your judgement.

You'd probably feel like a twonk, and punish that particular person extra hard in response.

i mean it's like accusing someone of being a murderer. the penalty for example is 10 years in prison. Then they find out that you lied and condemn you to 30 years in prison for false accusations. At least, give him the same time. Not triple that amount.

you wont find support here. these people are forum campers and are very sensitive.

What‘s your point? They‘ll get over it.

From the whole minutes upward from that point on I was thinking to myself "This is the worst thing I've ever witnessed in regards to Overwatch and I was present to a gold Hanzo and Widowmaker screaming at each other for 11 solid minutes."

THIS is the guy everyone voted for?

Overwatch is doomed.

you have serious problems. im sorry you cannot handle situations on your own and you need a moderator to rescue you. it must be hard to go through life like that.

xQc is why Roe v. Wade will never be overturned.

I just let out the ugliest laugh holy !@#$.

but really, I love xqc, I do. his passion and love for the game is great and his determination to win is too. but there's no denying that he's one of the most toxic streamers out there.

he abused the report system and he should be penalized for it.

That's actually a lie. Personally I like xQc as he seems very real, he's not really smart enough to be two faced to his viewers, he'll speak his mind one way or another without filters. I like genuine people.

I will not however deny that he can be toxic and detrimental to his team sometimes. He picks hitscan when he's "sick of tanking" and massively underperforms while his team asks him nicely to tank. That's clearly not "trying his hardest" every game.

Now, obviously what he's done wouldn't be bannable if he wasn't actually streaming and well known. But that's a risk you take for putting yourself in the spotlight.

According to 90% of the forum you can play whoever you want regardless of whether it works or not.

He deserved the ban asking for the ban time to increased for doing something outside of the game would be stupid and unjustifyed

Yup. My problem is that I enjoy a non-toxic community. You on the other hand indulge and promote toxicity. What does that say about you?
Lets be real. he deserved the ban (a time out really) for spamming reports.

If he had posted ONE report, without the needless childish swearing, for 'Poor Teamwork' he would be 100% fine.
Banning xQc for what he did? Fair enough, he broke the rules of reporting (note that Blizzard didn't actually spot this from the reports, but rather from reddit)

Banning him for 3x longer than bans for 'actual' (in Blizzards eyes) bad team work, and also while in game so ruining 5 other people's game, is kinda questionable.

There needs to be consistency and clarity with the reports and punishment system, rather than just a few high profile cases. It should be something like do X get Y punishment, regardless of whether you're a top 500 streamer or a casual player in bronze
I’ll get downvotes for not following the forum opinion, but it seems no one in this thread got the context.

He was typing the report about a Mercy would queue sniped him repeatedly and jumped off cliffs, wasted ults and threw.

He also had a Sym and another person throw on his team and other teams in prior games and was reporting them.

The issue was that he obviously put inappropriate details in the report box, but he was actually doing it against players who were way more toxic than him. While it’s not on in regards to what he did, neither is the ban, the reddit witch hunt and the punishment length.
