For everyone cheering that other supports will be used, do remember: This is Moira's meta now. She is by far the best.
What's wrong with a Moira meta?

...
So you're saying they can.
But you're also saying that they can't.

That doesn't make much sense.
It’s as simple as this: Mercy is an extremely weak hero who is not worth picking following these nerfs and no amount of strategy will make up for that. You don’t see them picking symm even when she’s the weakest hero and trying to build strats around her do you?

Yeeah...

Mercy is boring, but still plenty effective.

You're acting like like the only reason people ever used her was entirely because of her Ult.

Which is dumb.

Look I'm not sure if you've followed with OW esports before OWL or what, but Mercy was used very often with Pharah on Koth maps (mainly Oasis)

yeah but what does phara do against quad tank?
We're not going to see quad tank everywhere, it's very map dependant.

And Moira is not OP like Mercy was, dive is still strong and we're gonna see more Lucio / Zen for dive comps.

Mercy will be played for Pharmacy if they run Pharah.

After the conclusion of stage 1 today, it is now officially the end of Mercy in the Overwatch League. When stage 2 begins in about a week and a half she will go back to hardly ever being used (like before the rework) since her ultimate is now very lackluster and underwhelming.

I don't think her ult is "a lackluster". It's still strong. Even without insta-rezz and super-sonic GA.

But even if she drops out of highest level play: So what?
She's the easiest healer to play. Now she's no longer broken OP to the magnitude she was. So naturally, she will drop out of highest level play in favour of more skill-demanding heroes.
That's natural and that's totally fine and balanced.
The biggest problem of Mercy 2.1 was, that she was EASY and EFFECTIVE.
People just have to accept that you can't have such a hero in a balanced game.
You could also argue, that Ana is not played in Bronze and that this is awful.
But it's not. She needs more skill, and she's played in medium to higher tiers a lot.
That's how it should be.
Not every hero can and should be viable in every skill tier, map or situation.
Even Jeff admitted that.
I say remove resurrection altogether. It's difficult to balance; it will either be borderline useless or OP.

If you dig up some posts from 6+ months ago, you will find that that is EXACTLY what she was used for, exclusivly. Prevailing wisdom has always been that "Mercy IS her ult" referring to Mass Res. Her kit outside of ult hasn't gotten much stronger, not enough to justify having a non-ult.
Hey there, we're looking to consolidate the Mercy feedback to this thread: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20761088072

Thanks!
