Flashbang should go through Deflect

First of all I wanna ask what is Mccree's actual role in the game? I know someone's gonna say "It's been a year since the game is out and you don't know his role?" but despite being an offense hero, what is his ACTUAL role in the game.
Anti-Flanker/mobility, front line attacker, sniper, flanker or what??

Now let's come to the actual topic, which is about flashbang. Let's suppose we all agree on him being anti-flanker hero so, why is it not working as intended.
What is the purpose of flashbang in the game and what's the use of it when it get deflected most of the time?
Why Genji outplays Mccree most of the time just because it was Mccree's fault for not having good aim or Genji taking advantage of his huge Reinhardt Shield sized deflect hitbox?

If Genji gets close to him and starts deflecting, how and where should we throw the flashbang, on the ground?? Even if we don't shoot at him when he's deflecting, he's gonna take advantage of his animation cancelling and still outplaying you as result.
In one match when Genji double jumped, I threw flashbang on the ground and it still got deflected, when Genji was high up in the air.

So the best solution to this is none other than making flashbang go through deflect, so that it should fulfill it's purpose and make Genji think at least 10 times before diving on Mccree. I mean, it REALLY needs to be risky thing for him to dive on Mccree, just like diving on Moira, Symm or torb.
Then we can call Mccree a Genji counter and Mccree players can feel relaxed when dealing with him, rather than worrying about his deflect popping out all of a sudden.

If Doomfist, tracer and sombra all need to be extremely careful and wait for his flash to be used it would make sense that genji should too but at the same time you cant just make him unable to deflect it simply for a buff. Itd be better off just fixing his deflect size or making his flash bang detonatable like a junkrat mine. You either throw it for its whole duration or you detonate it in your face so itll still flash them unless they are right inside you.
Then what's the counter play for Genji to flashbang?
This is an odd topic. A skilled hero vs a skilled hero....

Why not bait the deflect with normal shots then wait for deflect. Hold then time a flash at the end. Considering mccree's primary isnt automatic, it shouldnt be too hard to hold out from deflect.

Besides, he is a skilled hero. It seems unfair to compare it to symm, torb or moira. His headshots can kill a genji faster than anything these 3 can do.

The same as everyone else.
If Gengu can deflect Zarya ult, Hanzo ult, Pharah ult, and so on, and so forth, then why not flashbang? Let's just be fair here
Fix the deflect hit box and just make Mccree have to throw FB outside of the hitbox. Thats the way its supposed to be right now but half the time you throw above or to the side of genji it ends up getting deflected back at you anways.

I would like to see him get his own Death Blossom when deflecting reaper, maybe throw a bunch of ninja stars everywhere while spinning in a circle and deflecting.

Because genji can cancel deflect by dashing out of mccrees flashbang range
Flashbang can deny Deflect if you throw it at the correct angle over his head or distance away from Genji. However since the hitbox of Deflect is not clear it can be a bit janky sometimes as to whether or not the flashbang is deflected. If the vfx of the Deflect matched its true hitbox then flashbang would be much more consistent against Genji.

For now however the best bet is to bait deflect then flashbang once the animation is done.

Better positioning and awareness? Seems like a fair counter seeing as everyone else needs it.

The position for genji to fight mccree is close range, at flashbang’s range.

Genji is not gonna win a shootout at midrange against a mccree.

The instant rapid movement of Swift Strike. Same thing Tracers do when going up against Flashbang.

Then don't pick a fight with him lol. Genji doesn't need to be able to beat everyone you know.

not saying it should happen but still, double jump, wall climb, and dash and also baiting it like Doomfist, Sombra, Mei, Junkrat, Tracer, Reaper, and ya know everyone else has to do

Having the best mobility in the game.
Firstly, that would break consistency, which is never a good thing.

Secondly, why don't you throw the flash over his head? That's the deafault move when fighting a Gengi as Mccree. If the Gengi jumps to prevent you getting it over his head, that's called counter play.
Now you're adding arbitrary exceptions to deflect. Now.
Why dont you wait for Flashbang to end if you don't want to risk it not going over his head?

"Well he'll swift strike through me!"

Why don't you learn to 180 like he has to to finish his combo?

"REPORTED!"
