I Hope The New Hero Is Younger Than 30...

General Discussion
we're overdue for a new waifu
It makes sense with the lore. Overwatch is a game about an organization that was at its prime 20 years before the game takes place. Most of the main characters were directly involved with (or opposed to) this organization.

So yeah, it makes sense that when they introduce new characters, if they're connected to the Overwatch lore, they're going to be older people. The new, younger people don't have much connection to the original story, so it's sort of hard to develop the lore by introducing them. Pharah really only exists story-wise as the daughter to a prominent Overwatch member. D.Va has almost no lore whatsoever. Neither does Zen. All these guys were mostly around after Overwatch died out.

Maybe if they start actually discussing what Overwatch is doing after Winston's revival, we'll start seeing new storylines that can accommodate younger characters. Until then, we'll keep seeing older faces coming back out of the shadows to continue fleshing out the universe.
It's cool to see female characters (since a lot of male characters in games are already old) that are awesome and 30+

Age has nothing to do with experience.

To be fair, and I'm actually on the side of "age is mostly a number", it's kinda hard to say that age isn't correlated with experience, in general. XD
Has to do with timeline. The events that defined the core heroes as members of Overwatch/Talon happened before current overwatch timeline. Only natural that most of the heroes would be in that age group. We still see some younger heroes like D.Va and Orisa though.

Plus, most of the female heroes look like they are in their 20s anyway.
Doesn't matter, all that matters is hero balance

Let the devs make the characters the way they want to make them
I'm hoping for another animal character. We only have one and it is still a mammal. We need a reptile, fish, bird, or invertebrate if Blizzard wants to commit to true diversity. A chimera will not count for multiple representation; I know your tricks Jeff.

It's just so far, i couldn't help but notice a lot of heroes we had recently received are pretty old. I know age doesn't matter, but it would be very neat seeing someone in their early 20's or at least below 30 or something?

Everyone usually is 30 and up.

Anyways, that's all c:
KingDva is that you?

A lot of the heroes are under 30 as well - so I'm confused about the complaint. Junkrat, Lucio, Sombra, DVA, Zarya, Symmetra, Tracer. All under 30.

The rest are either non-human or over 30 which is awesome. I think we've got a good mix here.

And that doesn't include Efi who is literally a kid.

As an old fart, it's nice to see more old farts in game.

Yes! Don't get me wrong that's great that they have them. In fact it's true, most games don't appreciate older aged characters at all and OW giving us them is amazing.

However, just one young guy in his twenties would be great eye cand- I mean great for us youngins :p

Junkrat is 25 and Lucio is 26, or is that too far up in the 20s?
Ah, yes, I totally agree. Perhaps they can be Greek, Canadian, Italian, or some other nationality that's not included in OW yet. And of course they'd have to be a 22 year old male bodybuilder by day and male escort by night to be truly ideal.

It's the only way.

You want some inexperience rookies that are barely out of puberty on the battlefield?

What? Like real life?
Yes, please. People over 30 are just a burden.
Jetpack Cat is 29.

Beyond geriatric.

No more animals please. I don't want to see the weird nsfw images w/ Winston.
Zen is 20, Orisa is a baby, Dva is 19, Lucio is 26, Sombra is 30.

Personally I like the Mid-Life Crisis™ group of heroes it makes them more interesting. Bitter Hanzo and I-couldn't-give-less-of-a-crap McCree are my personal favorites.
We are lacking young, handsome guys to be honest. I'd like to see more guys in the age range of 20's to 30's that actually look young and attractive and not aged another 10-20 years or heavily injured/altered.

Below 18
Orisa (Robot)

Soldier (Same as Reaper)
Rein
