Quitters don't belong in Competitive

Competitive Discussion
I think we'd all be better if players that rage quit, intentionally leave or just want to cause unneeded stress to Competitive should be permanently removed. No more 5 minute bans, just out for the day then week then season. Make it clear that this mode is an optional mode that is held to higher standards. Players need to remember that it's not just about them, it's about the team. If you can't work as a team, then try different modes.

Stop defending their right to leave a game, that doesn't help anyone. If players have to leave, their internet gets interrupted yadayada then they can submit a report later stating why they had to leave their Competitive match. Even if it's just 1% of leavers that are not on purpose, I still think a higher punishment needs to be instilled for competitive matches. It's a team based game, get over yourself and help the team.
That's awesome news just show blizzard how they can tell the differance between someone quitting by say pulling out the Ethernet cord or someone's power supply dying as soon as you show how to distinguish accidental from deliberate all our problems will be solved.

What's wrong trying to set up a more strict policy for playing Competitive? Who does it hurt? Quitters, that's who. If you bump your cord, plug it back in and rejoin. Like I said, think past yourself.
Because most competitive games are thrown by idiots and not throwers.

Says the person who hasn't even played Overwatch according to their account... real insightful. Go troll elsewhere.
thats impressive that you can reconnect the cord, reestablish network connection, and log back into the game in under 2 minutes, if you have 2 minutes left in the game. Thats taking into account load times and such.

You can get upto a lifetime ban it's already strict enough, people will rage quit regardless of any punishment and some countries have worse internet than others if people bought the game they have every right to play competitive mode it's part of the game.
So someone who just got a call that their father was in a serious car accident and has to rush to the hospital has to finish his game before he can go to his loved one's side or risk a permaban?

Okay.
