What if reports can give or take SR?

General Discussion
Hey persons, what if good reports in competive can give go a small amount of SR, and bad reports can take away some SR? And also have a system where ‘report farmers’ can be banned? The people being reported in a valid report can also lose some SR. It could potentially reduce negitive aspects of the game, such as toxicity, while giving a reason to have players help on this issue. The SR losess or gains could even be only a few points, but enough to matter.

Also plz comment on ways to improve this concept before disliking anything.
So you want your performance Based SR to be influenced by the people you report? What does reporting have to do with skill?

Definitely NO.
As like a reward or punishment for either doing good or bad reports in Overwatch, maybe it can reduce negative actions in the game :)
I don't think it would work very well since it could be easily abused.
It could even potentially reduce stuff like toxicity, also the reward can be small, like a few SR points, not too much

Well there can be a system to prevent this stuff from happening

All the Moira and Mercy reports (especially Moira) will knock them out of the higher tiers.
what if we replace competitive with a popularity contest?

Oh, you gain a slight amount for reporting someone who gets banned and lose for making false reports? Not the person getting reported losing sr?
I actually think this idea has merit. Not as in you gain/lose SR for every report, but if you file a valid report against someone who is throwing a competitive game, it would be nice to be reimbursed the SR you lost for the match if it's proven to be an accurate report. The thrower gets a ban, and the team is no longer too heavily punished for it.

I think that might actually help a little. It won't stop people from throwing games, but it might make it more bearable for those who are stuck in the game for 15-20mins while someone throws themselves off the map the whole game.

The person reported in a valid report could also lose SR

Remember, bad reports let the reporter lose SR
then everyone would be in bronze
Because you don't know how the reporting system works apparently.

Multiple reports result in a ban REGARDLESS of whether the reports hold any credit. In other words, you could have 6 retards endlessly reporting a single innocent person, and result in a ban (which is what's happening to Torb mains). Yes, the system is broken, but that's the way it works

And now you are saying "Hey, on top of that, let's make SR determined by popularity as well! Player popularity affects your SKILL rating as well!" As if the system isn't ridiculously unfair already.

And your defense is "I'm sure there's a way to prevent abusing the system"? Please, Blizzard still hasn't found a way to fix the old system. Adding SR to the stakes changes none of that
