Nov 14, 2010 Known Driver Issue?? I get about 1-2 minutes into a 3v3 or 4v4, while running ~medium to high settings, and then immediately crash and receive the error: "Failure due to videocard driver issue. This driver has known issues with Starcraft 2. You must update your videocard driver to play StarCraft 2. If the problem persists, for more information consult our support website at starcraft2.com/support." I have completely upgraded my video card, and am wondering if I just need to be running this on a lower setting. My card is a GeForce N9600 GT. Enjoy4 Nov 14, 2010

Nov 14, 2010 Monitor and Mouse shuts off? Alright so when I first installed Starcraft 2 everything seemed fine, I played campaign and a few missions here and there. Then about a week after installing the game I was playing a mission (cant remember which) and my computer suddenly shut off. Thought maybe it overheated or something so no big deal. However it happened again a few days later while playing campaign. Ever since then, basically since I bought the game 2 days after release, its been having odd shut offs. If it doesn't power my computer down completely, then it will shut off both my mouse and monitor. Hitting keys or shaking the mouse does nothing (the mouse, Razer Naga, shuts off completely and my monitor has the orange light), this forces me to manually reboot. Happened twice to me in the last two days while playing the first Zeratul mission in campaign. Any ideas what it could be?Bear5 Nov 14, 2010
Nov 14, 2010 Long A.I. Skirmish Loads Small issue, but quite annoying. When starting up an a.i. skirmish it normally takes 10 seconds or so just to load all the maps. The little circle keeps on spinning and then all of a sudden everything pops up. When I exit the skirmish and click a.i. skirmish for the second time it only takes about 5 seconds, but everything appears to lock up then all of a sudden the maps load. Any ideas?Zero4 Nov 14, 2010
Nov 14, 2010 Main Menu causing extreme lag. I have a 1GB Radeon 5850, and can run everything on Ultra just fine. In-game I get great frame rates ((haven't ran fraps to check exactly how much but I've never had a slowdown)). However, in the main menu when I log in, I'm hardly getting a frame every two seconds. It makes maneuvering the log-in screen extremely tedious and time-consuming. Once in-game though, it's fine. -What would cause this? -Is this a known issue? -How would one go about fixing this?iGoldman4 Nov 14, 2010
Nov 14, 2010 Not exactly technical issue, but a question. I didnt know where to put this question so I just put it here... I have Starcraft II on my computer, and I am wondering how I can copy the game from my computer onto a Storage device so I can just bring the Storage Device to my friends house, and play it directly from there instead of re-downloading it. The Starcraft II game came with a CD, but the CD is only for downloading the game onto a computer. *** optional question: Can I somehow delete the contents from my Download CD and fill it with the game itself? I want to do that because the CD for downloading has a cool picture on it :DTheGreatNom0 Nov 14, 2010
Nov 14, 2010 For those having FPS lag AMD has released a new hotfix that has fixed my going from 60 fps to 1-2 fps. http://www.tcmagazine.com/tcm/downloads/31698/catalyst-1010e-hotfix not from official site, i get an error on AMD site, but this site also has the download. 100% clean and works(otherwise I wouldn't be posting here :D)Bobhlead4 Nov 14, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Freezing upon victory of quick match Twice now in the past two days since updating to 1.1.3, the game froze at the end of a quick match when I get the box that says "Victory!" and asks if I want to go to the score screen or return to the game. I click "Score Screen" and it makes the sound as if I went to the score screen successfully, but nothing happens. It's just stuck. I can't even type Command+M to un-fullscreen Starcraft, or Command+Q to quit. Is there some way to force quit starcraft when this happens? I use a Mid 2010 15" i5 Macbook Pro with 256MB nVidia GT330M Graphics Card.goodDay1 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 SC2 crashes when opening Okay, I just opened up sc and it updated to the latest patch. After that it brought up the Raynor screen and then just closed the program. I tried it a couple of times and it kept quitting on the Raynor screen so I restarted my PC. When I tried again after rebooting it doesn't even get to the Raynor screen and instead comes up with a Windows error message that says, "StarCraft 2 has stopped working". Nov 13, 2010 1.3 game crashes Problem: game crashes after Raynor's head at planet screen. Game just turns off like nothing happened. I have multiple gamelogs named : 2010-11-12 16.29.25 (compter name) B16939 Error Comp. set-up: processor: Intel Core i5 video card: Radeon HD 5850 driver- 8.782.0.0 memory: 4GBs ddr3 HD: 300gigs of space OS: windows 7 (64 bit) Things I have done to fix it: 1. uninstall and delete all the random temp files, and temp files folder then reboot. Reinstall from download ( letting it self patch and also trying with the downloaded patch) 2. turned all AV and Firewalls off then see 1. 3. plugged computer straight into the modem bypassing the router then see 2. 4. run repair then see 3. 5. run repair as admin see 4. 6. run game as admin see 5. 7. waiting for new patch (in progress) Side info: I have bought this game twice first time it didn't run at all. After I refunded ran a tracert, that would not go through previously, it worked so I bought the game again this time it patched and worked. Edit: I uninstalled again and right after I install It say SC2 crashed try again. So I rebooted and the first time it loading past Raynor and ran the cinematic. I pressed escape it then just shuts down to desktop, now I am right back to square one. Edit2: Ran memtest all memory is fine. Installed driver 8.76.2.0.0 ( old driver) Now my game doesn't even load Raynor's face just a black screen. ( this was happening after the failed regedit and after I reverted it still happening.) Then uninstalled and ran a registry cleaner called CCleaner. Then reinstalled, patched and now I have the first problem back again. My game loads Raynor then crashes at the planet screen. I checked my SC2 error logs and they are named "2010-11-13 22.36.22 BENDER B16939 Error" with nothing inside. Edit5: Got it to work after uninstalling my firewall. So even when I shut off the firewall and made sure that the processes were off, it still messed with my game. And I made my game trusted in my Comodo settings. Pretty awesome.Vitriol6 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 13, 2010 Audio and crashing issue. Need help, badly. I recently got the game, haven't been able to play it. Every time I try to load a campaign, skirmish, custom game, etc, during the loading, my sound will being to pop in and out, then completely go out until I fiddle with the sound quality in game. I have to switch it to some other quality and switch it back. The game will also crash constantly in any game I try to play. After it crashes, the launcher gives me the error "Launcher couldn't be executed for some reason." I know my system can handle the game I have looked for updates to my audio driver and found none. All my drivers are supposedly up to date. I've reinstalled the game multiple times, and repaired it. I can't think of anything to do, and am frustrated beyond hell.Eldricht9 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 13, 2010 Keyboard Problems I recently got the Asus G73JH-BST7. I have played a few games with it, and am starting to have some serious troubles with what I think is the keyboard. When I go to select my larvae, often times it will disable the sound (Cntrl+S), even though I am not pressing the control key. It will also minimize my game even when I do not select the start key. I'll click on one worker to tell him to go get gas, and it will select my entire mineral line, so they all go for gas. Another problem I have is it will randomly scroll in close up, without me scrolling with my mouse. Any ideas of what's going on? Could it have anything to do with my mouse?LakunaElite1 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 13, 2010 Keyboard Layout? I have a Portuguese keyboard, and a layout to match. It's something I've gotten used to. Who wouldn't after a couple of years? It's never been a problem with SC2 either, until today, I noticed that I was unable to type "?" in response to a strange message in a game. I hadn't noticed any problems before today, but, now, it's harder to use some punctuation. I can't even make faces without taking several moments to find which key leads to which symbol. As an example, I offer the following, written with my keyboard with an English layout: I have a Portuguese Keyboard, and a layout to match. It`s something I`ve gotten used to. Nov 13, 2010 Progress with the"Achievements Disabled"prblm Progress with the "Achievements Disabled" problem. <- The full title didn't fit A while ago I posted here to complain that whenever I logged in, the message "Achievements Disabled" would pop up and the condition would stay for the whole session. We determined that the problem was either in the location of the user, or on it's ISP, because using a VPN fixed this problem. Well, I am happy to say that the problem has been partially fixed, on Blizzard's end. Without doing anything to my connection or computer, I no longer get the error message, and I can see my achievement points in-game, but whenever I try to browse my achievements they don't load, the spinning circle never goes away. I hope that you are able to fix this problem as soon as possible. Thanks for the helpJeos1 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 No video when using KVM switch My monitor is hooked up through a KVM, and it does not pass the DDC info to the system. Works fine usually because I just set up my resolution manually. But when I try to launch Starcraft II, there is no video output at all, the signal just turns off. Tried it with a direct connection to the monitor and that works. So for some reason Starcraft II requires getting DDC directly from the monitor. Is there a way around this that doesn't require buying new KVM equipment?Ork1 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 13, 2010 When trying to close SC2 Now, when I try to shut down SC2. Most of the time ever since, mmmm I'm guessing patch 1.1.2(?) maybe one before that, it started to have this issue, it will lock up the computer completely, no error report, nothing. All of the other games I play, don't have this problem. Never had a problem during gameplay, just when I want to shut down the game itself it seem's. It does it bout mmm have to say 70% - 75% of the time when I close the game... When the game does actually close off properly, there's no error or anything then either.Darkmatter1 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 13, 2010 Unable to connect I am having issues connecting in Starcraft. I am able to log into WoW, and I of course have a active internet connection, but it sits on the connecting screen forever. Was curious if there is something else i should try. I have ran SC in admin, and reg, but neither have allowed me to connect. Any suggestions? Edit: I am up to date on all patches as well, figured that would be something I should add.Convickted1 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Sound Issues I play SC2 on my laptop, and if I have time before class I will play a match or two. So I don't disturb people around me I would like to play with my headphones on. But, as soon as I start SC2 it will feed all outgoing sound through my speakers, even Windows Media Player, despite my headphones being plugged in. Any ideas why/ how to fix this? This didn't seem to happen before the second patch. Thanks. My laptop is a Win7 machine by the way.Ragnarok0 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 graphics errrors, baneling spash / death I know other people have had problems when things like banelings explode, I at the moment get like a red or green square underneath where it would make a mark on the ground which is REALLY annoying. Does anyone know how to fix it? is it a certain setting that makes it do that? I haven't had it for nearly ever but now it just shows up. Im on all low at the moment, also low textures. thanksJellyFish5 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Unit Portraits They come up .. blurred. Very blurred. I was fixing to restart the game to see if that would fix this, but I thought I'd see if anyone here knew the direct cause of highly blurry Unit Portraits.Rajyrr1 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 13, 2010 Massive Lag Every custom game I join everyone lags, and the game stutters. Going to the custom game list, the most popular games have about 10-40 games in the last hour. Considering this is happening to everyone it probably isn't my connection and it defiantly isn't my computer.Kold14 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Massive connection issues so two games in a row with everyone having connection issues. I think bnet is owned right now, blue I think we could use some clarification on the situation.Touraj0 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Obnoxious bnet "freeze" This happens quite a lot. I'll try to join a custom game or an invite, but the download thing at the top of the screen wont show up, and the game will prevent me from trying to join any other games, sticking me in a permanent limbo. I have to log out and log in just to get bnet functioning normally again. With invites, I've noticed that it's always the same games (not maps). For instance, a host can try to invite me to the same game a hundred times with no results, but if he starts a new one then I'm suddenly able to join. Has anyone else experienced this or know what the problem might be?Nogan2 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Bliz, if Bnet is having trouble... PLEASE let us know before we play league games and lose to 2 disconnects in a row, one to a bronze player! Rukh0 Nov 13, 2010
Nov 13, 2010 Dual Monitor Question: Mouse problems.... I have 2 monitors set up, and most of the time everything is fine, but at random as far as I can tell, my mouse will quit scrolling the screen like it should when I get to the right edge and jump to my other monitor. In game, I can still scroll up, down and to the left (I'm playing on my left monitor) but when I get to the right edge it jumps to the other monitor. You can image what a pain this is when I'm trying to move around the map. The way I fix it is, change the resolution or video mode (from Windowed (Fullscreen) to just Fullscreen). It fixes the problem, but it just happens again at total random it seems. My question is there some hotkey that is causing this? What is wrong? How can I fix it? Dex9 Nov 13, 2010

Nov 12, 2010 Patch not working, reload game Hi, Here is the error code I have recieved when trying to download the new patch. It gets to about 70% and then just stops. The patch "pc-battlenet-hdfiles\Support\Battle.net.dll" could not be applied. (MD5 mismatch: expected 0x92582E79806B0E2D3EB4EAD75EAA4F04, actual 0x33313AC8B77B8F4D2ED890C0C800D133.)(PTCApply_BSDiff failed.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (BNUpdate::PTCApply) Before I contacted support I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas why this was happening. Thanks!Rob4 Nov 12, 2010
