Aug 18 Crashing to Desktop (see code) D537224F-74F3-4569-8995-11B5F66816AF I'm getting this error whenever I crash to desktop. It seems to be random and would occur whether I am in-game or alt-tabbed out. There is no set interval that the crashes occur either, just random times, but happens every day.Atmosfear4 Aug 18

Aug 17 Lost data Hi, I haven't played SC2 for years, and recently installed it on my new(er) computer. I also got the battle chest since protoss and the like campaigns had come out since I last played. I am missing almost all of my saves, which I thought were stored on your servers. I apparently started replaying missions on brutal starting from the first, and was able to hit 'continue', and recover some progress, but it's only the first few missions on the starting world. I know some information was saved, since I apparently have achievements for missions that I have no save progress for. I'm also pretty sure that I beat the terran campaign. Would this information still be on your side somewhere? Was it because I got the battle chest even though I had purchased the terran campaign separately when it came out? Would it be possible to restore data, or at least data from the achievs that it shows me as having completed? Sorry if this is a repost. I thought I posted it yesterday, but maybe I did not? I meant to!hotchkiss0 Aug 17
Aug 17 Update bug report I currently cant log into SC2, when I updating other BLZ games. Because, BLZ App will pause the updating when I launch the SC2, but some how it cut the internet as well. When I disable this function in setting - game install/update and it works. I log into my SC2 account. Hope this can help some one in this issue too.RAVEN0 Aug 17
Aug 17 SCII LOTV Hangs During Close - Covers Screen SCII LOTV always worked well for me until recently. I'm not sure what changed. Sometimes SCII fails to close, although sometimes it closes cleanly. When it does close, it's difficult to close because it covers the screen and there's no way to get under it. I find it hard to access Task Manager to kill it. It occurred last night. I played the Mafia game. I'm not sure if its related. I also started playing Abathur in Co-op. I'll have to do more rigorous testing to find if its related to something in a game/map/scenario. When it occurs, I find I can only reboot to fix the issue. It may be possible to fish Task Manager to the surface to interact with it. Other techniques such as trying to run a killall command from Run. Another caveat is that it looks like SCII always starts in the main monitor. I have two monitors. Last night when it happened I just let the program run all night to see if it will close on its own. It didn't. What happened is my computer became very laggy, and then crashed on its own. For a while I thought it was related to Windows 10 updates but I don't see any evidence of Windows 10 updating other than a memory of when the system asked to update. I do see multiple updated programs in my Programs and Features Control Panel thing. I do see that Blizzard Apps and Starcraft II were updated on the tenth, but this issue has been around before then. Intel PROSet/Wireless Software, Dell SupportAssistAgent are the only other two possible culprits. At this point, I'm not sure what to do for: 1. Troubleshooting this issue to find the true culprit or determine the root cause and possibly file a bug report. 2. Recovering from the situation most quickly when it does occur, instead of rebooting.TerrazineHi5 Aug 17
Aug 16 Suggested graphics quality problem??? Back in 2010, my old computer using core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz CPU, 2 Gb DDR2 Ram, 1 Gb Nvidia Geforece 9500 GT graphics card could still play SC2 in medium graphíc smoothly. Recently, i've noticed some improvements in SC2 graphics. At the moment, the low graphics setting even has more details. Because of this, it is understandable that the suggested graphics quality is low with my old computer. Indeed, the FPS drops quite tremendously everytime i try to play in Medium graphics. Recently, i built a quite new, advanced computer compared to the old ones. My new ones has core i3 3.0 Ghz, 8 Gb DDR4 Ram and stiil using the old previous graphics card. Surprisingly to me, the game still sets Low graphics quality with my current new computer. It plays horriblly in low FPS when i try to switch into Medium graphics while plays very smoothly in Low graphics. I even tried to nuke 12 times at once in the area with lots of buildings and almost 400 supply units and the game still run smoothly without droping FPS abrutly. I wish to know why my computer's still sucks at higher game's graphics. Does anybody know, please?TheSky1 Aug 16

Aug 16 Account issues, Cant contact support. To clear this up immediately, I cant find a way to contact blizzards support itself, the verification methods don't work for me (Various reasons including not being of age to have a government image ID) So if anyone knows of some way, please tell me so I can post this there. In short, I can access my account, but nobody/someone else controls the email associated with my account now (thelonewolf122@gmail.com) and my "secret" question for changing it I cant recall (Failure on my part.. Like everything else that caused this) and to make matters worse the SMS protect is set to my old phone that died from water damage. The full story, Is that months ago i was receiving reports that several different people were trying to access my account from different parts of the world (China, America to name two) and I actually lost access to several of my accounts on other services due to this. In a panic I reset my passwords using some tip I read that said misspell the words in your password so that a hacker cant just input a dictionary of words or something similar to get access, so I did and then promptly.. forgot how I misspelt the words so I lost access to the accounts, that same night my phone got soaked in water and even after trying several things to revive it, it wouldn't work again- So two step verification blocked everything and google support wouldn't fix it. So I lost access to "thelonewolf122@gmail.com" entirely and I haven't been able to get into it since- Come my new email- Which I wont mention actually until someone needs it, I'd prefer not to have it spammed. During this time I managed to regain access to some accounts (Steam, FB) and lost a lot more which wasnt so devastating as I hadn't spent money on most. But battle.net was one, I can't change the email at all because SMS protect is active to my dead phone, my secret question answer I cant recall and I cant access the email to start with, I'm fifteen so I don't have the other ways of verifying support tickets so I can't contact support whatsoever. I've spent quite a lot of money on my blizzard account and Starcraft/Starcraft II is the nearest and dearest game to my heart I've ever played (I've played it for almost a decade- My father was a fan too.) So, if there's anybody who can help me change my email so I don't lose the account or if there's an admin/moderator who can help me, or needs more information. Please, please do say something. (And I'm sorry for the huge block of text to read)Darkwolf3 Aug 16
Aug 15 StarCraft II Save Failed/Unable to Open Save Hello everyone, I recently installed the Starcraft: Mass Recall mod and am having a lot of fun with it, however I've been encountering a regular save bug with the mod. Sometimes when I start a new mission and save the game, it'll give me the error "Save Failed." It still creates a save file, but loading it will fail and yield the message "Unable to open save." Sometimes restarting the mission from scratch will resolve this issue, but not always. Thus far it's happened to me on Rebell Yell, Mission 5, 7, 8, and now 10. Mission 7 worked after I started from scratch. Is anyone else encountering this issue, either with the mod or StarCraft II in general, and does anyone have a possible fix? Note when playing this mod, I am Offline, so I don't believe this has anything to do with the recent server disconnect/reconnection issues that are happening in general. Thanks!Juxtapose5 Aug 15

Aug 15 Legacy of the Void overheating my computer? Hi, I have been having a very serious problem playing Legacy of the Void and I am having to stop playing because I am concerned that it will damage my computer. This issue seems to only occur during cutscenes, or maybe when I'm in the Spear of Adun. During a cutscene, or perhaps just being on the Spear of Adun at all, the monitor will suddenly just go dark and my computer fans will start going crazy. I can hear sounds from the game coming from my speakers, but my monitor will be "asleep." When I'm actually playing the game, like when I'm building up my base and armies on a misssion, this doesn't seem to happen. Only when I'm on the Spear of Adun. It doesn't always happen, but it does. It happened to me twice just moments ago. I have everything on max settings, just so you know. None of this has happened when I played Wings of Liberty or Heart of the Swarm. Only Legacy of the Void. This has been very frustrating for me because I am a huge Starcraft fan. Will someone help me?TheBlob0 Aug 15
Aug 15 Sound Driver Dear Blizzard Entertainment, Recently I bought, payed for, downloaded the StarCraft 2 Battle chest series. At first everything seemed fine until about 1min. 25 sec. The Blizzard Application tunes off the head phones and turns on the main speakers. My computer is a HP Envy 15, I’m running the latest version of windows 10 (home), Intel Core I5 2600Mhz, with dual graphics (intel 4000) and a (NVIDIA GE Force 740M), and Beats High Definition Audio. (Driver sp63555) after every use of starCraft2 I must reinstall the audio driver. This is getting to be a real hassle. What’s the solution? Surely, I not the only one with this problem. Thank you; Jonathan J. Wolfejjwolfe0 Aug 15

Aug 14 Bluetooth headset forced to low-quality mode I have a bluetooth headset that I use for most of my gaming. However, when I try to use it with Starcraft 2, the audio is played in low-quality mode, the mode used for phone calls, instead of the high quality mode that it should be using. Sound in this mode is mono, despite having set the sound settings to stereo. There's also a lot of static, and it just plain sounds unplayably awful. It applies to all sounds Starcraft 2 plays - background music, unit voices, button clicks, etc. While Starcraft 2 is open, the poor quality also extends to non-Starcraft 2 sounds, such as music being played with Winamp, MSN sound effects, etc. I tried a few experiments. This problem only occurs with Starcraft 2, I have tried it with several other games (for example, Warcraft III) and the usual high quality mode is used. The quality is fine if I use a regular set of speakers. Most interestingly, I tried playing some music in my media player - winamp - which initially sounds fine. Then, I start up Starcraft 2. Sometime near the beginning of the loading process (loading the login screen, not an actual match), the quality of the non-Starcraft music (that I'm playing with Winamp) drops into low quality. In other words, Starcraft 2 seems to be changing the setting of my headset globally, not just for its own sounds. Even when Starcraft 2 is minimized, the sound problem persists with all of my non-Starcraft 2 sounds. When Starcraft 2 is closed, sound quality immediately returns to normal for system sounds. I have played with all of the sound settings in the options. I have tried setting the output device to both "Default" and "Speakers (Bluetooth Hands-free Audio)," both having this problem. (The quality is fine if I use normal speakers). I have tried checking and unchecking Stereo, but it plays in mono either way. I have tried Low, Medium, and High in sound quality, and tried 32 or 64 channels. It doesn't seem to be a setting issue. The only option Windows gives me in the bluetooth settings for this device is whether or not the device has a display for incoming calls, which isn't terribly relevant here. As far as I know, I have no manual way to tell it which quality level to use. This problem didn't always occur, by the way, although I'm not sure exactly when it started. It was several patches ago, although I can't say for sure that a patch started this problem, or whether it was something else. I'm not terribly familiar with the technical details of bluetooth; I think the high quality mode is called the "A2DP Profile," which I get from the instruction manual, but I don't know a whole lot about it. It is a Rocketfish Mobile RF-MAB2 Stereo Headset (which you can see here: http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/products/mobile-phones-gps/RF-MAB2.html). My computer is running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 (My computer's specs are here, for everything except the operating system: http://ae.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=yTLtFbatbqSkCohB). What can I do about this? Is this some sort of Starcraft 2 bug, or is something else wrong? Starcraft 2 is the only thing that I can find which causes this problem, but I suppose that's not a guarantee that it's at fault. Thanks it advance :-)Errant17 Aug 14

Aug 13 cant play offline again... most of the time i dont have interenet so i have to go to the library to update. well i updated this game, and authenticated several times. and it still thinks i need to log in again to authenticate to play offline? why is this it was a bug a few years ago, but seems offline play is alittle harder to do. why cant you guys be like steam or xbox ones microsoft who allow offline play with a simple click or swich of a button instead of crazy lockouts. or at least allow us to play offline with a disk like xbox one. id be happy to buy anouther game disk if it meant i could play offline. it sure is anoying. we shouldnt have to log into online play to play our games offline that we paid for with our own money thats messed up.Jimraynor0 Aug 13

Aug 11 There was a temporary problem with your request. I have been getting this message for over a month now, whenever I try to start a 1v1 ranked games as Terran or Zerg. The problems started when the migration of the SEA server to the NA server happened. Ever since I have not been able to play ladder as the above mentioned races. I can play 1v1 ranked as Protoss and as Random, strangely enough. The game works completely fine on EU. For Terran and Zerg it also shows, that for my league placement I have 5 matches remaining, while for Protoss and Random it only wants me to play one. This is really annoying and greatly affects my enjoyment of the game. I would really appreciate some support in this matter.Ninjette3 Aug 11

Aug 11 Multiple StarCraft 2 Authentication Keys under one b.net account Hi, I know, this question was asked multiple times on this forum, but some post are really outdated (2010~2012), so, I would like to have an updated answer on the matter. Is there a way to have 2 StarCraft 2 Authentication Keys under the same b.net account? My girlfriend received StarCraft 2 as Christmas present but I would like to link her cd-key and her character under my B.net Account. So, we would use the same username/password to login to B.net and would be able to choose our character after login in. And I may add that for now, we're on 2 differents computers but it may change in the future. Thank you for your time, DravenDraven5 Aug 11

Aug 11 Huge Drone-Skin Bug Hey guys, i had a very weird game today. My drones did not collect the minerals as intendet. While they get the minerals as they should, they didnt brought the minerals back to the base but went afk directly infront of the base. This was also the first day where i used the new drone skin from the battlechest so i think that this bug is caused by this skin and so i want to ask if you also have some weird experience with these new skins. The replay of these game can be found here: http://ggtracker.com/matches/7139664 As i said, the game itself is uninteresting. Just take a close look at the drones at my base, and maybe play the replay in speed 2 or 4 so that you dont have to wait so long. This bug didnt affect every drone, but it did happend again and again, so maybe one of you know the reason behind it. I postet a simular topic already in the general forum but i wanted to adress it also here, because i am not sure if this bug is still unknown, or just is very unlikely to happen, or if you guys from blizzard already fixing it, but i just wanted to make sure, that will be known, so that you guys can fix it :)Sipher0 Aug 11
Aug 10 Can't connect to battlenet I get a notification that I can't connect to battlenet then an option to play offline. Aug 9 Cannot launch. Updater quits mid-update I haven't played the game in more than a year. I tried to open it recently and was unable to run updates so advised to re-install. I reinstalled from the DVD, then when I try to open the game through the launcher, it starts the automatic update. The updater freezes and hangs repeatedly. If I close the launcher and open it again, it will sometimes pick up where it last left off on an update download, but sometimes it just simply freezes. Not sure how to proceed.jpsc3 Aug 9
Aug 9 SC2 doesn't start --> "an unexpected fatal error has occured" Greetings. After I switched my PC on, got Windows 7 fully loaded I opened the Blizzard App launcher screen. I select 'play', the screen says the game is launching. I go into a black screen (wich is normal before you see the loading screen of Zeratul) and then it pops back to Windows saying 'an unexpected fatal error has occured'. I tried restaring my PC but the situation remains the same. SC2 is the only game I play so I hope this issue gets fixed soon. I have no clue if my PC had some kind of update. I played SC2 yeserday and it worked perfectly after the last update from Blizzard. CEE51108-702A-4348-91B2-D1221A1FBA5F Many thanks in advance.Zeikusername8 Aug 9
Aug 8 Patches won't download I've tried all the steps listed in the installation and patching guide/technical support, but my Starcraft 2 patches won't download. It says "Applying Patch 1 of 24" and doesn't do anything for a few seconds, then suddenly gives me the option to Play. I click Play and the screen flickers for a second, then a dialog box pops up saying "Starcraft II requires a patch. Would you like to download and install the patch now?" So I click Ok. Takes me back to the patcher window, does the exact same thing again, endless cycle continues. Why won't it download the patches? I've opened all ports, tried reinstalling Starcraft 2, restarting the computer several times, etc.Heck4 Aug 8
