I've been running the Ling/Hydra comp, and it's been performing fairly well. The Zerglings are more durable than you might expect with the shield upgrade, and if you get a Karax or Artanis ally, they seem to cause a lot of damage before they die. The Hydras are fantastic, they do a ton of AA damage that's great for focusing down objectives or countering the SkyTerran or SwarmyZerg comps. With the unit refunds and high economy from the speed aura, they're like a less-suicidal Zagara.

Having just started leveling him, I find his playstyle has a lot in common with Zagara and bio!Stukov or Raynor: mass a large horde of cheap units, send them crashing against the enemy, then build another horde with your strong economy and attack again. Speed aura from the satellites gives you a crazy income, with 4 or 5 Hatcheries you can pump out large numbers of Zerglings (more durable than they appear with the shield upgrade) and Hydralisks (crazy-good anti-air) over and over again. Hard to say for sure, but it feels like Brutal's a fair bit tougher than before the patch. Might just be variance (been getting SkyTerran or ViperZerg almost every match), might just be the fact that the new commander hasn't released brokenly overpowered (been a long while since that's happened) so I've had to carry partners more, but AI units seem like they're stronger and attack waves are more frequent, numerous and aggressive. Has anyone else been having a similar experience?

Sirius and Nux are killer anti-air. Sirius is obvious with his anti-air missiles, but Nux's AoE blast carries the same anti-air benefit as other AoE abilities; since air units stack so well, you can get some huge damage off of one cast. Combo with Tychus' grenade upgraded to pull targets to the center and Nux can melt just about any air wave.
