Glad to see you back, ShadowFury! I would certainly prefer to work out the details of our meeting without letting that get too far into the past.

I would rather have consistency than quality. Not that I'm one to speak, I have no consistency whatsoever.

Just make a post as soon as you can, and I'll respond. We'll go back and forth a few times and call it good. Hopefully our exchange will be over before the time comes when you come up in the meeting.

Also,

@Zarkun: I know I'm the last person who has the right to prod somebody, but I don't want to move War Pigs forward until Natalie and Hank get a post or two more.
Yeah, I'm working on a wording what I have in mind correctly. Should have a post up either today or tomorrow.

Then again, I live in the country ever-so-genius enough to get us stuck between Clinton and Trump.

On the contrary, Trump is a good choice!

Hillary is only still standing still because the media and much of the corrupt government, along with the truly stupid people of America have all sold their souls to her. Ignorant, low information voters follow suit or are otherwise shamed into it. Did I mention she's a lair? Also many of the polls are cooked in favor of her and I can go into detail if you so desire.

The low information voter believes Trump a racist, homophobic, "Islamophobic", bigot, reincarnation of Hitler because that is what the soulless media (factually a sovietesque propaganda machine now) has told them. The fact is that he is none of these things are true and we can go over in detail exactly why he is not and where the media and puppets have created this illusion. Media also has a habit of literally making this up about him too.

Not that I have any presumption you had or have any intent to vote for Hillary, I've known you and the other folks here not to be stupid. I just enjoy to point out the truth.

Let's discuss Trump and the issues, shall we?
Let's be honest, neither candidates are ideal. Before Bernie dropped we got to choose between the Communist, the Clown or the Criminal. At least we narrowed it down.

Let's not get the bar thread deleted though, eh?

Moderation is loose here, I can promise this conversation will lead to no actions here. Might I add that I speak with the moderation of these forums over a private Skype group from time to time.

On Sanders, though I disagree with socialism entirely, he was far superior to Clinton and literally had the nomination stolen from him. I though he was a good dude too, until he endorsed Hillary and dropped everything, making him a hypocrite and a sellout.

However I myself wanted Rand Paul initially and when he dropped I decided to go with Trump.
I...

Ugh.

God-damned !@#$ing Politics. I'm really starting to hate them with a passion.

I may not like Hillary or agree with everything she says, but there's no way in hell I'm voting for Trump.

First vote was for Bernie myself.

EDIT:
Can we please avoid the topic? I can tell already by your stance (which is a polar opposite of mine) that this will probably devolve into an ideology filled ragefest, which is something I'd like to avoid around here.

EDIT #2:
Actually, I'm alright with a discussion, so long as we can keep it civil. I'm also fairly positive that neither of us is going to change our minds, so lets please avoid trying to convince each other that; "I'm right, you're wrong"

EDIT #3:
So, you say Trump is a good choice for the presidency. Why? What's your reasoning?

I find myself in agreement with this.

The way I see it, Trump does not seem... Stable, I guess. It is good to have definite opinions on issues but his statements feel a little all or nothing.
My biggest worry is that (as president) he will offend foreign powers with thoughtless remarks, damaging America in the diplomatic theater. Worst case scenario we wind up at war with one of the groups he has issues with.

But who knows? An optimist might say that he will be the next Teddy Roosevelt, championing aggressive foreign policy. They certainly seem to share the same gung-ho attitude.
Trump seems the high-risk high-reward candidate.

Hillary on the other hand would be a more 'traditional' President, who would likely treat the office of the President with a reasonable amount of dignity. The big issue here is that we have seen the Clinton family skeletons already, and did not like what we saw. We don't just think, we know that this is not an ideal candidate. I really dislike the idea that someone we know is guilty of wrongdoing is eligible to become the President. That said, the worst case scenario for Hillary is more along the lines of discovering another scandal as opposed to war.

But who knows? Her time (8 years) as the First Lady coupled with her own political experience may make her the most qualified person in the world for President based on experience.
Clinton seems the low-risk low-reward candidate.

Disclaimer: I am not the most politically aware person. My thoughts are not so much on what agendas or policies each candidate is pushing, but what their time as President will do to the nation as a whole.
Zanon. Thank you.

That covers my overall thoughts on the topic quite well.
OH!

And while we have you here...
I have some questions about this new forum setup.
-
  • My 'jump to last post' button just brings me to the top of the last page. Is that a known issue, or am I experiencing a lone bug?
  • Will we ever get post numbers back? I know the URL still has them, but there is no way to see what the post number is without looking at the page # then counting from the top. (This ties into my frustration with the jump to last post not working)
  • Will we ever get the advanced mode back? (The one that shows most recent poster)
  • There are more features I miss, but these are the ones I feel are important. Post numbers especially. Being able to tell someone "Go to [Thread Name] and look at post #342" was great.

    @Warhawk
    :)

Edit: I just realized I forgot to greet you Duke, mainly because of the subject of debate! It's been a while. How have you been?
Context is king, ThisGuy. I don't follow strange links (even ones to youtube) without some idea what I am clicking on.
I am writing out a rather large and in depth response to many of your comments and questions. It will be quite long and I'm not sure when today, it will be done, but get ready for it, lol!

Plus he keeps changing his mind on things. And let us not forget he tried to run as a Democrat previously, and during that short-lived campaign he made statements that contradict his current platform.

Of course, for me the single biggest issue is (deep breath lest I offend people) abortion. Trump has failed to consistently oppose it. At least a Republican legislature might oppose Hillary on this issue, but they'll buckle up and cruise along for the Trump express. And if Trump ruins the reputation of American conservatives, next term we'll have both a bad President and a bad legislature.

Add to all that the fact that the man is personally immoral, and I just can't vote for him. Obviously I can't vote for Hillary either by those standards. Thus, the only reason I'm even going to the polls this season is to vote for state level candidates. I encourage all the rest of you to look closely into your state-level elections. That's the one place where you might be able to do some good.
So it seems that the MVPs still lurk around here...

...just how many lurkers do we have here?

And why do we have no detection? Our ground forces keep walking to their doom!
They are legion luma, for they are many.

Not that Trump is not qualified for the position at all, mentioned he would break the Geneva convention on live TV, wants to build a !@#$%^- wall on the Mexican border, etc but abortion?
Were I a citizen of Germany under the rule of the National Socialists, I would have opposed Hitler for many reasons (warmongering, bad economic policies, political corruption, etcetera). My strongest point of opposition, though, would always have to be his ruthless murder of thousands of innocent civilians. Any candidate who refused to end that genocidal campaign would never have my support, let alone one who had previously made statements in favor of it.
