I'm trying to set up TheCore but screwing up

General Discussion
What do they mean by "BackMouseButton"?
Here's a screenshot of the TheCore Master Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17raO7-JAKIqEPvlaicwUDB93uhfqAopgU0uQ3Qji_g4/edit

The spreadsheet is also very confusing in many different ways that I can't even list them all. Also, what do I do about "add & steal" and "create & steal" functions for control groups? This spreadsheet literally doesn't address that.
Anybody?

Wait, what does that do? Does that automatically set the hotkey profile so I don't have to do the work manually, or do you not know?
Yikes i tried the core once and wanted to rip my hair out setting it up.

What do the files that you can download do? Do they set TheCore up for you, or do you have to manually do it on your own?
EDIT: Okay, downloading the file makes life A LOT easier. You don't have to waste a bunch of time manually setting it up if you download it. I guess I learned my lesson; if you can make your life easier by saving time, then do so!

Oh, wait, I don't have those. I don't have a gaming mouse, so what do I do?

Buy one =P

Or ask for a rebinding suggestion in their official thread on the TL forums, TheCore is a pretty streamlined layout and things are bound certain places for a reason, you probably won't find a place to rebind those keys that will be as good as it would be on the mouse.

That said I didnt really like the core, it was pretty cool but too unintuitive, plus the fact that like 99.9% of pro players just use the standard layout

Eh, I will probably just leave them the way they are; I'm too lazy to change it now that I've downloaded the file. Anyways, I may get gaming mouse for Christmas or something.
When I switched from TheCore 1.0 to TheCore 3.0 near the start of LotV the hotkeys were in a bit of a messy state. I’d strongly recommend finding a current user of TheCore in SC2 chat and having them walk you through setting it up.

Also, TheCore 1.0 did not use forward/back buttons on the mouse while TheCore 3.0 does use mouse buttons. After using both methods, it’s much much better using mouse buttons. Just buy any gaming mouse (Logitech is good).

The most important part of TheCore is correctly using the control group keys vs spell keys vs modifiers (ctrl, shift, alt). All the specific uses of control groups and spells can be shuffled around to fit what you like best.
