Dear Balance team,
Just want to remind you - Battlecruisers are still gimmick rush units.

As predicted, delaying the Battlecruiser's yamato cannon didn't really change the fact that the BC in concept has potential to do devastating snowball damage. Yes, you've delayed 1BC rush, but all that's done is increased the stakes from the 1 BC jump into 2 BC hellion jump. The fundamental mechanics of BCs getting guaranteed damage while still being guaranteed safe and eventually snowballing into unkillable is still there. Effectively, BCs are being used like mutas.

It's true that BCs are not used every game. None of that changes the fact that when they are used, the mechanics of their use don't add up to the intended design as a heavy assault unit.

The problem lies in the fact that Terran does not need to make any stategic choices between tactical jump (guaranteed safe) and Yamato (guaranteed value). Both of these are great spells by themselves, however when both are placed on a top tier tech unit like BCs, they overstate the BC's value. One of the best ways to keep this from turning into gimmickfest is for tactica jump and yamato cannon to share a cooldown. This gives Terran strategic choices to make and also gives defending players strategic options for countering Terran. For instance, if you bait Yamato cannon, you can effectively keep the Battlecruiser in place for your air army to attack. And vice versa, if you attack with a good surround, Terran may choose to hold off on picking up your key units with Yamato before jumping away.

This kind of dynamic rewards defending players for preempting Battlecruisers while still maintaining the core value proposition of BCs. This kind of change, where users are rewarded for skill, foresight, and planning, should be encouraged as a default.

Please make Yamato Cannon and Tactical jump share a cooldown.
Maybe u should watch more on pro lvl, not at all. Balance doesnt touch dia lvl and lower
Hey Blizzard,

Just wanted to add some feedback you might not find that easy to hear.

So, despite the GSL TvP winrate of 62% in Terran favor, you decide to nerf Protoss in that matchup (PvP nerfs both sides, Blink in PvZ isn't too common).

It's clear the basis for this change is 'community feedback', not winrates at the highest level. You've basically legitimated every baseless form of QQ in the community, and invited more of the same.

This change has minimal actual impact...but the culture of complaining that you've tacitly encouraged and now rewarded is going to be an ongoing problem. Especially if you keep doing lazy updates like this in the future (that don't address what has become a stagnant and frustrating meta for all involved).

Precisely, giving up to the whine (a form of a moral blackmail) opens the floodgates for more whine.
Whine exists because it pays.
AH yes, We better not voice our opinions or we will be considered whiners!

What a joke.

Trying to suppress others, You know, that's some real passive aggressive bullying right there.
An exterminator performs a very useful service to the community, no one likes rat-infestation.
If you ask the rats they swear that would charge the exterminator with mass-murder.
So my duplicitous friend, the issue is relative.
Good blizz. Now make charge 200/200 again and terrans might be able to take a third without dying to immediate swarms of chargelots.
Probably the last thing I thought needed to be changed lol

TvP is just insufferably bad now. I have a ton of fun playing TvT and TvZ but TvP is getting back enough that I just leave. I can rush or lose, my choice I guess.

I have no idea where you guys get these changes, they make no sense on any level top pro or otherwise. I mean you tried to buff the Thor FOR TVP and think that reverting a 50/50 blink cost is going to change anything at all? Cmon guys.
Why do you always react so fast when there are complaints against protoss and when we have legitimate complaints you let us wait for months till years? Why do you always fall for typical terran whining? Don't you get it, they will NEVER be satisfied. NEVER.

Well, if you want to be just - watch today's gsl matches and react IMMEDIATELY: Buff us, make blink cheaper again and a lot more!

When will you finally get rid of your double standard and hate towards protoss?
Better idea: Get off your lazy butt and make an effort: Learn to play

The Protoss gameplay are so Stupid bro, c´mon take a Buff for Terran.

TvP are so desbalanced in Early Game. In ZvP it is still the same but in smaller quantity.

Hey everyone,

In our last update, we reduced the Stalkers’ Blink upgrade research cost to try and help improve PvZ and PvP matchups. After reading all your recent feedback around the change, including discussions around its impact on TvP matchups, we’ve determined the Blink upgrade cost reduction isn’t necessary at this time, and we’ve decided to revert this change for now. We appreciate all of your feedback and thoughtful discussion around this issue.

• Blink research cost reverted from 100/100 to 150/150

Our current plan is to release this balance update before IEM Katowice on February 21. As always, thank you so much for your feedback, and we encourage you to keep letting us know what you think!

If you had done this nerf to Protoss earlier, maybe there would be more than 2 Terran players out of 16 players in the WCS EU. 2 out of 16 players in WCS EU are Teran. That is a horrible stat.

Also, Protoss is doing very well in the GSL now. 10 players have qualified in the GSL so far, and 5 of those players are Protoss.

This shows you how OP Protoss is.

This shows how pathetic you all terrans are
No, Mr Jockel. What is at play here is the unfortunate fact of using the Terran-Dictionary and Protoss/Zerg -Dictionary all in the same time.

Protoss Dictionary: Screaming, crying, QQ-ing and asking to buff your own race and nerff the opponents = Whining.

Terran Dictionary: Screaming, crying, QQ-ing and asking to buff your own race and nerff the opponents = Giving constructive feedback.

Zerg Dictionary: Screaming, crying, QQ-ing and asking to buff your own race and nerff the opponents = Whining.

See now?

Consumers voicing their dissatisfaction with a product they spent money on is not moral blackmail. It's called communication. Do you always try to find a way to twist things to suit whatever narrative you are pushing?
For those who are claiming the nerf on Protoss is not needed, just remember that in the GSL qualifiers, Protoss made up 40% of qualified GSL players at 13 players: https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/2019_Global_StarCraft_II_League_Season_1/Qualifier

Terran had the fewest qualified players at 9 players. Zerg was next at 10 players.

Blizzard is doing the right thing by doing a very slight nerf on Protoss.
Is there a way to disable select all army button,(unclickable option)?

so the fact that already 6 protoss are out, while only 1 terran had not been noticed... okay... nothing new from terrans
Only 1 Terran is in the Round of 8 in WCS EU. Blizzard, this is what happens when you nerfed Terran this much.

Sure, the Thor +1 Range Increase is such a huge nerff.
