banelings should be able to jump

Banelings should be able to jump like the purple ones from the campaign. They feel useless now. Way too easy to kill, way too hard to micro. They could probably use a HP buff of like 10 too.
Why so many dislikes with no actual reasons? typical.

I think the OP lost it.
Nobody has explained why this would be un balanced. I think leaping banelings would be useful and balanced to attack mineral lines, get to their targets before they die, and not get blocked by zerglings. It's exactly what they need to be viable

it depends on both players, if you look at serral games, you will notice that he split his banelings same as terran split marines, so they dont die to 1 mine or dont kill only a small group of marines.

Do you play this game at all?

You see banes literally every single game these days and always successfully. They're really, really good as they are and to even consider buffing them is utterly outrageous. That you think they're not viable is legitimately sad.

But since you probably want us to explain why it would be bad, banes are designed around being a swarmy unit. They're supposed to be a low HP unit (and therefore vulnerable to splash), and all the more so given that they're one of the fastest producing units in the game, not to mention one of the cheapest and mobile. Making them have more HP simply isn't necessary when you consider that it goes completely against its design principles and would also mean that it survives a tank shot, widow mines and have as much HP as a marine (prior to combat shields), produces faster than marines do.

That's only considering the HP buff you suggested. Giving it the reaper-jump is ludicrous given how incredibly mobile it already is and in the form you suggested would remove what little micro that it actually takes to use against other races outside of ZvZ.

Also, did you even consider how broken it would be with a ZvZ mirror match?

When an opinion it's so terrible you don't need to write any reason, you must be quick and push the hand down button as soon as possible.

Wnat another sugestion?, overlords should be able to morph into big flying banelings, banelords and they should do a ton of damage according to its size.
If Banes can jump, Marines should be able to cloak and zealots need a gun :)
