Anyone ever wonder why

Protoss Discussion
He's actually hiding another shawl under his shawl.

In fact why bother with a chin or jawline on the protoss at all? Now "minor details" like how organisms living off psionic energy are able to gain mass without metabolizing matter is something I'll just have to ignore. But the absense of a mouth but a prominate chin and only less so on the jaw makes no sense. The chin is only on human beings because it's a strong attach point for muscles that are used in speaking.

/rant

all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration... we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. there's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves... here's tom with the weather...

Living organis don't change matter into energy or vice versa. That the protoss are described as having been hunters yet living off psionic energy was spectacularly stupid. But these are the same people who had an organism flapping its wings in hard vacuum in order to get around. That's about as frakking stupid as it gets. I personally would've been content with the Starship Trooper model of strictly organic aliens invading, in that they throw their eggs into space, having them land on another world to forever stay there. But ohh, no! Blizzard went full retard on the concept. They might as well have said the zerg wave magic wands to travel between world to world.

Probably the most sensible answer yet.

Dark Templar technology has developed something called Moebius fabric, which allows clothing to be stacked on top of eachother indefinitely. This has lead to the major breakthrough of 7th dimensional shawls, allowing one to place an infinite amount of shawls over one's face in a compact way. Great for parties.

Living organisms, I assume you mean? And claiming that matter isn't changed into energy is supremely wrong.

Pro tip; organisms use chemical energy to fuel everything they do. But we don't eat energy. What we do eat is metabolised and, essentially, burned for fuel; that's a release of chemical energy from matter. Matter into energy.

Also; E=MC^2. Energy equals matter, times the speed of light squared.

Furthermore; space-dwelling organisms is a long existent idea in sci-fi, and in theoretical science. Look up Dyson Trees, for example; spaceships which are essentially genetically engineered trees.

Space is not a perfect vacuum; especially inside planetery systems. The flapping wings thing is a bit silly if you're expecting them to get traction on solar atmosphere (the atmosphere of the sun, for example, extends well outside the solar system and kuiper belt - for billions of kilometers. Look up 'heliosphere', 'heliosheath' and 'heliopause' for more information; the termination shock of the heliosphere is something like 90 AU [1 AU being the distance from the sun to the earth]); but there are sails which work in space (in fact, one such one has been tested in the real world recently).

Basically it's a case of suspension of disbelief; fine detail is wrong in places, but it's based upon principles which actually are somewhat sound.

See, this is why you need to actually learn science instead of cut'n'paste answers. Organisms DO NOT use nuclear processes to metabolize or grow. It's not suspension of disbelief, it's Blizzard thinking their fans were that stupid [you being the baseline of their assumption].
