what will this laptop...

Off Topic Dicussion
... run sc2 on?

the specs are below on the page, 4GB RAM, 2.66GHz processor, 1GBVRAM, 5400 RPM hd

will this run sc2 well on high settings?
few things

1. VRAM is not the best way to judge a video card. There are plently of examples of faster, better cards with less VRAM than slower ones. the 310m is an entry level card, I doubt you'll see great performance from it on starcraft

2. the processor isn't too bad. should probably perform fine, but will start limiting you at higher settings.

I've said it a million times on these forums, don't expect high/ultra performance on prebuilt laptops unless you buy like a 4000 dollar alienware (which I dont recommend). A lot of people underestimate the fact that laptops are just not meant for gaming at higher settings, buy a laptop, and complain about its performance.

Overall, the GPU will probably keep you from going on high settings smoothly. Low or med MIGHT be fine.
VRAM will be fine for starcraft, the GPU itself will be very weak though, find a better one. preferably GTX series or a GT500 series

RAM is fine

HD is a little slow but should be okay

that processor is previous generation, try to find a sandy bridge processor

resolution is also a little low.
it will run on low settings at around 60-80fps and about 19 on med. source: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-310M.22439.0.html

personally I would rather go for this.

This has an i7 quad core 2.0Ghz with turboboost to 2.9 Ghz. a 500GB 7200rpm hdd. a GT 540m gpu, 4GB DDR3 ram, and 1920x1080 resolution. Also it has free shipping as a bonus.

The GT 540m can get about 37 FPS average on high settings. Source: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html

Although, it only has a 1 year warranty compared to the 2 year warranty on the one you were looking at.
