Unable to download authentication module

Mac Technical Support
They said this problem will be fixed in the next hots beta patch
If this is for HotS beta, then WaffleGalaxy is correct, this is a known issue and will be updated in the next build of HotS hopefully.
Does anyone happen to know when that patch is going to be released? I am itching to play the HotS beta...I didnt even know I was going to get a beta key when I preordered haha but yeah this kind of really sucks blizzard really needs to work on their mac support I had a two week period where I could play WoL either and all the tech guys could tell me was keep uninstalling and reinstalling until it works again...like seriously?!
This is something you will need to inquire in the beta forums. This is a bug with the beta and is something that technical support is unable to assist with. Technical Support is only able to assist with the current retail version of the game.

It's happening on the latest version of wings of liberty. Just tested and I still have the same issue. Mac OS is 10.7.5
Where are you playing from? I've seen some regions have issues due to ISP DNS issues.

Try switching to Google's public DNS and see if it helps.
i have the same problem. I cant play. I have an iMAC 27 late 2009 with OSX 10.8.2. The BETA is up to date(version 2.0.0.24247)... I'am kinda disappointed :(
If this deals with beta, this is a known issue. For beta assistance, please post in our HotS beta forum: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/5671339/
Lets go blizzard stop dropping the ball... this is obviously a known issue by now... My beta works fine on any PC I install it on But when I try running it on multiple different MACS it does not work (and no i am not running it in multiple locations at once) message is: "Unable to Download Authentication Module" I work in IT and have access to a vast inventory of machines I'v even gone as far as reinstalling MAC OS still does not work..

This sounds like we're still referring to beta. As mentioned before, Technical Support is not able to support beta issues. Please post in HotS Beta forums.

This is already covered in the HotS Beta Forums Know Issues Thread. Please follow that thread for updates: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/6490460205#1

Technical support is only able to support live versions of the game.
I also have this problem(on live client)
I have tried the following:
-Deleted Battle.net cache
-Flushed DNS
-Use google DNS
-Reinstall
Still not working, I would like to add that this only happens when I try to connect to NA with my SEA client, if I change my region to SEA the game works perfectly fine.
Any solutions?

Edit: I deleted the entire Blizzard folder in /Users/Shared
Now I can log into NA but all the portraits won't load, custom game icons and their respective info pages won't load.
If I get invited to a game I get a window title "error" with no explanation underneath it.
This was the problem I was originally trying to solve.
I guess this is my problem too and I'm not in beta. I'm having this for WoL and it's affecting all of my Blizzard titles ever since I deleted my battle.net folder in an attempt to clear the cache.

It might also be worth noting that copy/pasting an old version of the battle.net folder I got from a backup drive clears up the connection issue but has other adverse effects on the game itself such as eternal loading of arcade games and not displaying selection options for quick matches in SC2.

Try switching to Google's public DNS and see if it helps.

This really works to me. Thank you, Machkhan !!

Just change DNS IP to Google's public DNS: 8.8.8.8 (IPv4)

This definitely related to old or dead DNS cache within our computer or DNS server, and the dead cache is no longer available for SCII agent or launcher.
I have the same problem. I was playing with no problem just 2 days ago and now it gives me that error message. I have tried the repair tool, unistalling and reinstalling, deleting the cache, flushing DNS, renewing my IP, forwarding all the ports, nothing seems to work. Please if there's anything else I can do, let me know
Me too... I was having issues with Arcade and tried to clear the Blizzard Entertainment folder in ProgramData so as to clear my cache. Ended up just getting this error message. Please look into this.
Have y'all checked out this post and see if this helps?

It is a known issues for some areas.
I just tried to install WOL on a new iMac in Japan, and am having the same issue. Tried flushing the DNS cache. Nothing...
You'll need to switch DNS servers if the DNS doesn't help. There are some known issues with Australia, New Zealand and Japan ISPs DNS servers aren't connecting properly to our network.

Switching to Google's DNS server for the moment has been known to resolve the issue: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using
