How to respond to hatch at nat

Protoss Discussion
\Please someone tell me how to respond to a hatch at my natural.
Put down a pylon.
Start 2 cannons at 2/3rds of the hatchery being built (not before). This way the cannons should finish directly after the hatchery finishes.

If the hatch finishes 2 cannons should be able to kill it. Continue to get tech until it dies and you can build your nexus. The zerg should be further behind than you are.

If they cancel the hatch immediately cancel the 2 cannons. Letting the cannons finish if the hatch doesn't can put you behind.

Also put a probe or zealot next to the hatchery attacking it. If they do cancel it having that unit there can stop them from building an evo chamber in it's place.

If this is the one where they build a hatch just outside your wall using spines to attack on cloud kingdom you want cannons on the outside of your wall. You can try to stop spines from advancing with gateway units while trying to get out an immortal or void ray.

Gold advice, thank you.
open nexus gateway forge instead of nexus forge gateway.
If the Hatch is in your Natural where your Nexus should be, throw down two Cannons at your front wall in range of both the wall and the Hatch. Let the two Cannons finish as 2 Cannons at your Wall is never a bad investment. The Hatch will then be canceled, and you will be free to take your Nat.

If the Hatch is outside your Nat, especially on Cloud Kingdom, it will be extremely hard to ward off. It WILL require scouting, whether it is by a wandering Probe or your initial Zealot.

If you do this you won't be able to stop them from getting a queen, provided the zerg player is smart and starts the queen the moment the hatchery finishes. If you let them make a queen, it can lay down creep tumors to delay your expansion until you get a robotics facility (i.e. a looooong time), and you won't be able to deal damage in return if the zerg reacts smartly.

Basically, you have to start the 2 cannons so they finish before the hatchery does, or you'll be really far behind, almost at the point of no return.

Or, alternatively, you can do exactly what wraithcube said but with 3 cannons, cancelling 2 of them if the zerg cancels the hatch.
Or, you could do what MC did versus Leenock when this strategy was new. He knew the queen build time, and knew when it started. Then he pulled ~6 probes preemptively and surrounded the queen as it popped, and killed it before it could escape to lay a tumor.
