UGH!!!!! Now i'm getting BSOD on Skyrim where I wasn't before!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, same thing happened to me for other games after playing HoTS. Might have been due to the game, though theres really no way of telling. Best to check your GPU for overheating problems - might have been fried.

Hey guys this has been discussed before, the problem spreads to other games as well. Me and other people have experienced this but i have a solution that worked for me at least, if you are interested i can tell you what it is so you can try and fix it. The fix will work for all games except for Starcraft since SC is acting as a virus corrupting an important driver that once it crashes once it will continue to crash on every other game you have, but once you run the fix the crashing stops unless you run SC again in which case SC will crash and the problem will come back.

I went back and tried your fix...but it comes back and says i didn't specify a directory for the file :/

To make things worse after restarting back into normal mode my GUI is in basic,my monitor isn't being recognised now, and all the startup programs i had turned off before are starting up! WTF windows safemode...you're not supposed to be doing this crap T-T

Edit: lol....it's not using my gpu at all now >< That's why it's displaying like that and not detecting my monitor i guess :/
I too have this problem
I'm getting close to asking for a refund on this v̶i̶r̶u̶s̶ "game". Blizzard obviously doesn't care about it consumers anymore. Even wow lost over a million subscribers and the largest and best raiding guild is giving the game a big "meh".

The fact is SC is dying perhaps even blizzard. The tourney's are getting smaller while free games like LoL are getting bigger. They attempted to refresh WoW with pandas, didn't work. They tried to recreate the luster and magic in D2 with D3, and failed. Now they can't even release a working game.

I think its time we all just said farewell to blizz and SC.

Edit: I for one would be very interested in seeing the chat you had with Blizzard tech.
I was wondering how to fix the black screen in other games?
I know this isn't the helper's fault. They are only a mouthpiece for the company. Good to know I can't get a refund on what I am considering a beta release.

as for posting the whole thing, I would figure making a public google document would work just fine.
Has anyone tried the Nvidia beta driver 320?

Thats very weird man, the fix should not have created the problem you got because it has nothing to do with windows startup or disabling the gpu or monitor. Its just about fixing a corrupted driver file that gets !@#$ed up when SC crashes. Even if you do the fix wrong (which i did the first time) the worst thing that can happen is that you cannot run applications that need graphic usage such as video games and videos files because the driver will crash.

I'm sorry this happend to you man i hope you can get it fixed, also, try and see if you applied the fix the wrong way, as i said, i did %^-*ed it up the first time but what i did was uninstall the whole GPU then restart windows and install the drivers again, and all was ok.

Started an offline custom game with no opponents so that I could only listen to the terran music. Wasn't even touching the game when it crashed.... wasn't even playing the game. Some SCVs were building command centers to give my hands something to do but my hands were off the keyboard when it crashed. I had minimized/restored the game a few times before hand.

Yeah I don't know, I just reinstalled the driver and it worked correctly....but i don't know what the deal with safemode was because i ended up having to reset some stuff that i shouldn't have needed. Though I still get bluescreens playing other games besides war3 now :/

I'm going to download the newest beta driver and try starcraft and report back.

Edit:

Nope still crashing.
So let me see if I got this figured out.

Step 1: Release game that doesn't work.
Step 2: Tell gamers it's their rig, and tell them to make the game look as horrible as possible.
Step 3: Ignore said paying customers until they stop complaining.
Step 4: Profit.

This thread has become a joke. Blizzard doesn't care about us at all. They won't acknowledge the problem, they won't fix the problem. They made us a nice little thread for us to write in, post up some specs, and pretend like they are going to do something. Truth of the matter is that we are probably going to have to wait for Nvidia to release a driver that forces this broken game to sit still and play nice.

EDIT: So I got bored and was looking through some other troubleshooting posts. Funny thing is, they are getting blue posts, some as recently as an hour ago, and the oldest I saw was 2 days. Funny how anyone that isn't having this problem can get a rep to talk to them. For my 2 cents, since I can't get a refund after 14 days, I'm going to post often, since blizzard can't seem to be bothered to post more than once a month.

FYP

Btw. newest Nvidia beta drivers don't change anything obviously.

@Blizzard: My wife hates on you a lot b/c I have to play SC2 on her notebook...
A big LOL to overall Blizzard performance with HOTS. It's really ridicolous!
how many more months is this going to take to be resolved?

we should take a pole :)

I'm guessing 6 more, since blizzard doesn't actively make money off micro-transactions.

Let me get this straight...you are deleting your account and all of your registered cd keys will become worthless forever and so-forth???? And you think Blizzard will give two poops? All you're doing is throwing your money away because of some idea you've developed about wanting nothing more to do with Blizzard and that somehow this will what? Hurt their feelings?

Honestly....i know you're trying to make a point here...but i think really it looks more like throwing a temper tantrum. Yeah they're doing a !@#$ job handling this but come on. I said it before....first....world....problems.

Relax guys. I know this sucks, but don't let it get to your that much. Things could be much worse.
