Greetings all,

We plan on offering high level support for EUD.

The emulator does not support EUD maps that touch StarCraft graphics. An unsupported EUD map, when played, will cause the game to issue the following message:

”Sorry, this EUD map is not compatible with StarCraft Remastered.”

The emulator tries to support all other maps, however, there could be cases were the EUD map exercises features that we did not account for in the emulator and hence one might get this error:

“Sorry, this EUD map is not supported. Please report the map on the StarCraft forums.”

cheers,
-Matt
I have a question. Is this the designated thread where you want us to report EUD maps that report the two errors you listed?

Hey KimmoZero,

Yeah let's get everything organized here.

Ah! Excellent! I'll start by quoting the first map reported.

So after learning about the 1.21 update re-enabling some EUD functionality through emulation, I rushed to my computer to start testing out some EUD maps that I remember playing in 1.16. The first map that I tried, Fallen Memories, seemed to work exactly as it should. EUD-enabled custom hotkey actions work properly now, just as they did before 1.18. You can't save, which sucks for RPG maps, but maybe the Classic Games Team will allow saving in a future update. I see no reason why EUD's should disable saves and replays, but I suspect the current reason is technical in nature due to the EUD emulation going on behind the scenes.

Anyway, the next map that I tested out did NOT work. In fact, the game gave me this message right as the map started:

The map is Middle of the Ocean 3, and it's one of the most impressive RPG maps ever made. You can find it here:

Edit #1 -

I'd like to add that Middle of the Ocean 3 does not use any custom graphics to my knowledge. Something else about its implementation of EUD conditions or actions just be preventing it from working with the new emulator.

About the error in the first link, were you accidentally using the vanilla version? Because by error, I'm assuming you're talking about the text where it says, "This scenario is intended for use with a StarCraft Expansion Set".

Thanks. I was gonna just repost it here, but this will do.

Thanks to Matt for making a sticky thread for this!
This is very odd...I don't know how else to help you from there. I apologize.

Just trying to give you a hand, man! You're welcome!
Oh, I also wanted to ask why saves and replays are not supported with EUD maps currently. Is there some technical hurdle to overcome given the new emulator solution? I ask because most EUD maps that I play are long RPGs that really benefit from save functionality.

If one of the devs could chime in on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Matt,
Are there any plans to add support for this feature? I have been attempting to find a way to mirror iscript changes from units/projectiles and this seems like a way to do it without waiting for a tool dev to produce a .anim compiler for modding. My previous attempts to use a different images.dat entry to load the same image with a different iscript were stonewalled and I still can't figure out the cause, so this may very well be the only way to make the changes I'm looking to make in a timely manner. Thanks for enabling EUD support!
Hello I have a map that isn't working.

Hi. I have seen a map (which uses EUDs only for conditions - i.e. it used to work even without any kind of launcher) not working. I guess this is because most memory addresses that are related to properties of units (health, shield, remaining cooldown, etc)... are not supported yet.

This is the map.
I think this map does change gracphics, however I was asked to report it on the forums eitherway - so here we go:

This map is for TRPG. I hope I can play.
The two maps are similar but slightly different.
Probably because of button set.
