Nerf Dark Swarm?

Ive always found it a bit ridiculous how ranged attacks with no splash damage do absolutely 0 damage to units under dark swarm. Ranged attacks should at least do a tiny bit of damage, perhaps 20% of the damage that would have been dealt without dark swarm. Starcraft really has emphasis on knowing how to counter certain things and punishing you when you don't counter properly, but not to the extent of dark swarm. If a Terran player doesn't have enough tanks and science vessels and gets his base flooded with dark swarms it's pretty much immediate gg. Obviously this is never going to be changed, but whats your opinion?
My opinion is that you should have enough tanks and science vessels when dark swarm shows up. Mines help a lot too.
Also, there are a couple marine medic timings that can break the zerg third base or even the natural. This matchup is balanced on a razor's edge for about the first 7-10 minutes before it stabilizes and turns into a marathon.

The ability will not be touched (not even considered being touched).
This game wont be perverted by randoms on the internet and unprofessional developers like SC2 was.
DS has the be the way it is. Zerg does not win games without Defilers.

Sorry i didn't mean to "pervert" the game Mr professional. All you did is restate that it won't be touched and leave no reasoning for it being a bad idea.

Haha, this game is at a point where no matter how terrible the loss, even the most begrudging player can't say "There was no answer, this game is imbalanced."

You are poking a bear of a subject.

But my opinion on this is that without dark swarm zerg just die to faster bio pushes. Currently, zerg has to rush Dark swarm. In fact, its hard for them to really be aggressive against terran without it and I would argue dark swarm is way more important defensively than offensively (similar to lurkers). Its used to stall time so that zerg can get a larger cheaper army in response to terran's almighty death squad.

Similarily, I think a terran that doesnt get enough science vessel and siege tanks especially is similar to if a zerg skips defilers. Of course you are going to die.
If dark swarm is overpowered then why does Terran have a positive winrate over Zergs? Obviously there is a really good way to deal with it..
Everyone knows the best patch in Starcraft history is 1.08, which gave Terran buildings the ability to crush Interceptors and destroy Dark Swarm and Disruption Web. Perhaps you're asking to return to the glory days?
Can buildings really destroy also Dark Swarm and Disruption Web?

At this point in time, after 20+ years of this game in existence, anyone who asks for buff/nerf is pretty much out of his/her mind. Here's your solution: Get better at the game. Git gud.
The one thing that should have been patched long ago... SCV/Probe/Drones should be able to deal damage under dark swarm. These are NOT ranged attacks.

Probes have a ranged attack.

Drones too.
It makes sense for SCVS to be able to deal damage under the swarm considering terran has like nothing to counter under the swarm except fire bats and spider mines
