Nov 28, 2012 Game crash in loading screen After the patch, my game crashes in loading screen every time i select my char to play. I realize this is happening because my addons are out dated and i had selected the 'Use out of date addons'. When i unmark this option the game works perfectly. What can i do to play with my addons again?Noobone4 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 WoW freezing I recently bought a Geforce GTX 560ti and now when I play WoW it will freeze after about 15 minutes and the music starts looping and I can't exit the game. I can play Star Wars and other games perfectly on almost max settings without any problems. I have tried to downgrade the drivers, switch from dx11 to dx9, and my computer does not overheat. :/ Please help.Tashigi2 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 "Error Crash" Hello, I'm in the process of installing WoW, I'm able to log in and everything and play, while its finishing up, but closing the game, or even just the launcher for that matter, causes a file report to send to blizz saying game crashed. My game opens and closes without a problem though, why is it saying theres an error in it?Vorrix1 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Nightmare Agent This Agent program is driving me insane. It is horrendously slowing down my system, it opens 3-5 at a time and crashes constantly. What is the issue? I've tried turning off the downloader, to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? I get an error report pop open for the thing every 10 seconds. Using the Taskmanager to shut it down seems to do nothing, as it just keeps constantly opening new ones. I've had 12 (13, 14) error reports pop up as I type this. Please help stop the madness!Stygianna9 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 So it's definitely a problem with launcher... I assume it's a launcher problem, because even the starcraft launcher won't work. Which is odd because last night it was working fine to download all of the starcraft patches that I missed over the last few months. Then less than 24 hours not working. They're both stuck on initializingBebawp0 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 US -> EU Client with 5.0.4/5? So I normally just change my realmlist.wtf to change between the two clients, I have two realmlist.wtf files (usually realmlistUS.wtf and realmlistEU.wtf) and I just remove the name of the region when I want to log into one or the other. This has always worked until today. I tried logging into my EU account today and even with the realmlist settings being; set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com set patchlist enUS.patch.battle.net:1119/patch set realmlistbn "" set portal eu it's still loading up my US settings, how can I get on my EU account?Pinque6 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 why we are dealing with this at every patch? At every patch we are having connection problems. I waste 12 hours on last patch now almoust 4 hours waiting. we need to figureout what is the problem. we need to seach at forum and try to learn. but why?? did any of us paid less? did you ever get free game time ? than why we are losing our game time? do we have to deal with connection problems? I never aske dfor patch I was realy happy yesterday than why I am having trouble now? I dont have to/want to deal with technical issues on all patches blizzard should solve problems before publish the patches. I had to open 8 or more ports to let me game run on a patch. I spend hours to larn what I need to do. WHY???Angelslove0 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 Annoying static sound mostly with ambience I've seen people run into this issue countless times on battle.net forums and I've tried a number of solutions that people recommended to them but they just don't seem to work for me. Sort of like what other people were having, the time where this annoying sound is most noticeable is when the ambience sound is on... If I disable the ambience and just enable sound and music the static is almost impossible to hear (but the static seems to pop up when sound gets loud). Preview of the sound: http://yourlisten.com/channel/content/16906884/WoW_Static_Sound_Issue The only way to get rid of it completely is disabling every single sound option in WoW. Nov 28, 2012 Spell lag time - screen freeze issue I continue to have this issue where if I cast a spell, it causes a brief screen freeze and/or lag. Typically it occurs when I cast a spell I haven't cast in a while. However, it never occurs with certain spells and in a raid environment. More frequently in LFR and on Sha than in 10 man raids (thank God). Occasionally, the screen lock will result in the client crashing - where Windows reports World of Warcraft is no longer responding and closes the window after closing the error (this happens very fast, not like a DC). I can log back into the game in seconds afterwards. Culprits are: Elemental Blast, Chain Heal (glyphed blue), and healing rain. Healing surge has done it, and healing wave. I've almost never experienced this with lightning bolt, lava surge, or any instant cast spell. I bought a new video card (updated from GTX 260 to GTX 660ti), I moved my install and OS to a solid state disk. My drivers are current, and all addons up to date. None of this fixes the problem. I played on Ultra settings down to Good settings, and the issue persists. I have no idea how to figure out what else could be causing this. Any ideas?Firestyle0 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Windows DEP preventing me from installing WoW Every time I attempt to run WoW to install it, the windows DEP program blocks it from installing. I cannot figure out how to disable it. I attempted to add WoW to the whitelist so it will allow it, but it refuses to allow the program.Jillymilly10 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 cant download the patch. I started trying to download the patch about 30 mins ago and when I checked the status of the download It was disappointing to see the bar on the launcher hadn't moved an inch! Its been stuck in the same spot the whole time. I've never had an issue downloading your patches in the patch so what should I do to remedy this? I have received no error messages during the attempt either, just the bar not moving.Tikneeterror4 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 Failed to Read Required File (Error 2111) I experienced this same issue when initially patching up to 5.0.4. I never found out exactly what caused it and bypassed it completely by taking my backed up WoW directory to a friend's house on my external HDD and patching it using his considerably faster internet. I have not experienced this issue with the minor patches released between then and now. Admistrator rights and permissions are correctly set up. My Avira Antivirus service is disabled. ProgramData/Battle.net folder has been deleted and redownloaded. Selective Startup with 'load startup items' and non-Microsoft services disabled caused no improvement. My Agent Log indicates that 'data/wow-update-base-16309.MPQ' is the file that cannot be read. When attempting to open 'wow-update-base-16309.MPQ' with a third-party MPQ editor, it indicates that the file is "corrupt and unreadable." Deleting it and starting the launcher again results in a new instance of the file being created. After the launcher downloads about 2 MB of data (according to connection info) the error pops back up and the file again becomes corrupt and unreadable.Malderas11 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Internal Error now with launcher Everytime i go to launch World of Warcraft now, it goes to the launcher and immediately says Internal error, please restart, if persists contact customer support Well 2 hours ago, my issue was the whole red server names thing in which the solution that a blue post was to delete the battle.net folder in programdata, well i did that and now i feel like i'm at a even worse spot. I've looked around tried deleting the folders again, going to task manager and turning off agent.exe, using the WoW launcher exe from the World of Warcraft folder, trying the msconfig turn off startup stuff, and then i was going to try running the repair tool but i no longer have it. Personally, i've been a loyal member since vanilla and i've had my issues before and i understand that there are going to be issues but every post i found on this issue, a blueposted something and it didnt work for the person. And generally most of their solutions are rather extreme but i understand sometimes thats the best way and i'd be fine with that if it was a guaranteed solution but if i get told to redownload all of WoW and it still doesnt work. My felguard now spawns with threatening presence and when I try to toggle it on and off he gets 2 buffs for it. I tried re summoning, re-logging, turning it on and then re-summoning and then turning it off. all no good. hes got either 1 or 2 duplicate buffs listed for it now. Nov 28, 2012 No Scrolling Battle Text Hey guys how's it going. I seem to be having a very troubling issue. Back before Landfall I had "MikScrollingBattleText" Or whatever that addon is called. Anyways, I rely on this for determining my DPS is a lot of ways. Here's the issue. I'm not getting ANY type of floating text onscreen. Period. I go to my AddOns and it say's it out of date. Okay, so I go and update it. Nope. I go uninstall/reinstall. Nope. Okay so I decide to go without the AddOn until Blizz fixes it (assuming this is their issue.) Even With the Addon turned off (tried it un-installed aswell) it get NOTHING. Not even the pre-loaded not modified floating text. The only thing I can find to see how much much heals and DPS is doing is on the pictures on the Frames. Am I stupid for not seeing something? Is there even something I'm missing? Please guys help me out. Kinda frustrating when you have NO idea what your toon is accomplishing. Hope I gave enough information for any answers. I also apologize in advance if it's something so blatantly obvious I deserve to be labeled a complete fool. Thanks guys.Klayy4 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 Is There A Manual Update Option? Hello all, I wanted to ask if there is an option to manually download and apply the 5.1 patch? Normally patches aren't an issue for us but it seems that we've somehow reached our monthly bandwidth quota (I didn't even know there was one!) and I have three computers to update. I'd rather not tempt them with downloading three instances of the patch data since they said if I continued to exceed my monthly allotment it could mean disconnection. As it stands I will be pushing it just trying to download it once. So, do any of you know where I can download the patch data so that I could then copy it onto a flash drive for the other computers? -- OR -- Would it work if I patched the client on this computer and then mirrored the installation to the other computers over the network, or would that screw up the client somehow? I'd appreciate any advice you could give, Thank you.Direbane2 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 spell cooldowns on my bars when i get silenced, i can't see my spell cooldowns. i'm only able to see the remaining time on silence. not sure if this is a bug or was intentionally put in to annoy people, but i like being able to see whether i have 10 seconds or 2 seconds on a CD; regardless of whether or not i'm silenced. i have debuff icons to tell me that i'm silenced. please make it so my bars don't show my spells as being on cooldown when i'm silenced. they're not on CD, i'm just silenced. the silence showing as a GCD doesn't allow me to see the spells i can use as soon as i'm unsilenced. i have to wait until i'm unsilenced then see if i can use it. that loses about 1-1.5 seconds, which is enough time to lay a totem or whatnot before being re-CC'd in arena... i realize totems follow silence rules now, that's not what this post is about.Natalu0 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Latency is making this game unplayable Really. I'm chillin' at any place with my usual 150~200ms. The very first second that I zone into LFR or LFD, my latency spikes. I just took an SS showing (188) home 3499 (world). I'm not the only one. My friend, who also lives in Brazil and is playing on Whisperwind also lags. It started after the last maintenance. I managed to get a World First 40k latency without disconecting during Will of the Emperor. As soon as I zoned out, everything was back to normal.Dalch1 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 28, 2012 I can't play??? Whenever I log in to the character after this recent patch, my internet connection keeps getting disconnected. Every time I log in, this happens. Whenever the loading screen right before gameplay ends, and I'm actually playing, it instantly disconnected my internet. I have At&t wireless internet and I think it is a DSL? (it's a little box thing with green lights and turns red when I log in) what can I do to fix this?Shiku1 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Bnet friends logging on/off crash my wow Is there any way for me to disconnect from Battle.net? Every time one of my realID friends logs in or out of the game, it crashes my client. It's driving me insane. Thanks.Helsinki1 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Having trouble re installing wow? There was a problem with my game so I uninstalled it. When I go to battle.net to download the client and after I hit install after it plays that music or whatever, it says there is an error and that I should check my internet. Well, theres no problem with my internet so im not really sure what to do.Brewmaker0 Nov 28, 2012
Nov 28, 2012 Patch not downloading After checking for updates and the download screen launches, the update doesn't actually download. I've been sitting at "Total download remaining: 612MB" for the past 45 minutes and the connection information shows me that I have 20.1GB of 20.7GB completed, but nothing is actually being downloaded (downloaded: 0.00KB; download rate: 0.00KB/s). I'm not sure what's going on. My internet is fine and I've never encountered this issue before.Divacup0 Nov 28, 2012

Nov 27, 2012 Updated addons out of date, STRANGE fps probs SO today after patching and finalizing my character xfer and resto... I updated my addons and all that fun stuff. Updated my nvidia drivers as well (always redownload them or check for updates during big patches for any games) First weird part comes in with, updated addons coming up as out of date... I use the curse client at times to make things easier with updating but after I relogged, they still showed up as out of date. What the deuce right? Well sucking up my lazy attitude I went and manually installed all the addons I have...Well that didn't work either, still showing up as out of date. And now the most frustrating problem of all, my strange FPS issues... It's as simple as this, I tend to run at "recommended" settings and a few even lower because I prefer smooth over astonishing... well... I have always been able to stick out at between 60-80 fps...which technically doesn't matter but today the fun started. When I am in a capitol city OR ENTERING combat, my fps is 100% normal and great...but any other times...i suffer at 19 fps... I have literally NO CLUE as to why this is happening...Usually it's the opposite, but I'm actually receiving a lower fps problem where people usually see their best and seeing my best where they usually see their worst. Somebody PLEASE help me out with even just the fps thing.Âltair3 Nov 27, 2012
Nov 27, 2012 Lost my AddOn's after today's Server Update Lost my AddOn's after today's Server Update Heads up, None of my AddOn's show up in the game. I logged into the game after today's Server update and maintenance, noticed none of my AddOn's where visible in game, so I Quit the game then saw the WoW Launcher was running, from what I see, the Launcher started on it's own when I logged into the game, Application info shows WoW version 5.1 I checked and the AddOn's I usually use are present and checked of to be turned on before playing, I lost my Guide, Titan Panels, Auctioneer suite and FloToTemBar, all where current and updated to latest version. What do we do now ? PS: Sure hope everyone who makes AddOn's catches this for a quick fix.Dalarann2 Nov 27, 2012
Nov 27, 2012 Updater FUBAR - Used DVDs I could not patch up to 5.1 as the updater sat there for 6 hours moving the green bar ahead some then jumping back repeatedly. Finally decided to break out my Vanilla DVD's and start over after uninstalling WOW and refragging my drive. I'm baaaack in the saddle again. I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!Inthekitchen0 Nov 27, 2012
Nov 27, 2012 Unable to use launcher When I start the game via launcher, the launcher stays on "Initializing". I've had this problem for the past few days and I am able to bypass it by starting the direct application for World of Warcraft. However, I realize this is a temporary fix and would like to know what I need to do to resolve the problem I am having. FYI: I've followed the steps detailed in the troubleshooting guide.Wouldnt2 Nov 27, 2012
