Mar 17, 2013 Another Low FPS QQ :( Ok my problem is really weird, I went from being 45-50 fps in raiding and bgs, to down to 9-15fps, keep in mind it is only 10man content or 10v10 for bgs. Yesterday I was fine, and now today its lacking. Tried doing driver updates and still nothing, I even uninstall add ons and still the same issue more or less. Plz help :(Razielknight8 Mar 17, 2013

Mar 17, 2013 Anyone use BitDefender AV? Just checking. I need an AV and it got #2 in the latest PCMag review for AV software. I want to stay away from system resource hogs and the ones not smart enough to distinguish between legitimate software and malware. Mar 17, 2013 Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse! A new mouse is being made by Logitech that is similar to the Razer Naga for all you people who might want to look at it. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse Personally, I don't see a use in a mouse like this but I know some of you can't live without one with this many buttons. I can also see people having problems with the concave side buttons. I'd pick Logitech over Razer though, mainly because Logitech peripherals tend to last forever.Nikola10 Mar 17, 2013
Mar 17, 2013 Will this laptop be able to run wow decently? Well I got this laptop the other day as a replacement to my defective one from HP and I only plan on using it to play wow when I'm not on my desktop. It's an upgraded HP 2000t-2c00 here are the specs. • Windows 8 64 • 3rd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3120M Processor • Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 • 15.6-inch diagonal High Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366 x 768) • 6GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm) • 640GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive I just want to know if I would be able to raid 10mans with the bare minimum raiding addons such as dbm, recount and bartender4. I know that it wont be running on ultra or anything but if I set everything on low and maybe the view distance a bit higher (cause I hate not seeing whats ahead of me.) will this laptop be able to do the job without lagging out?Killaboo6 Mar 17, 2013

Mar 16, 2013 Need computer advice I'm retiring my 10 year old machine, and need advice about a new one, so I have a few questions: 1) I figure I may as well make the move to Win 8. Does WoW work well in Win 8? Not interested in people's opinions about Win 8 overall, just how well it functions as a gaming platform. 2) Is there a noticeable difference in using solid state drives over platters? Enough to justify the extra cost? 3) Does 64 bit improve the performance of WoW? 4) What is the minimum RAM I should go for? 5) Any other advice? Thanks in advance!Athelyn4 Mar 16, 2013

Mar 16, 2013 SLI GTX 260 or single GTX 460 I have: AMD Phenom II X4 920 2.8GHz OCd to 3.2GHz (1) GTX 260 4GB RAM At one point a couple years ago I was able to run WoW with maxed out settings, but it seems that the game has gotten more intense and I'm not able to run it ultra anymore. I currently run at "Good" settings with view distance and terrain detail on ultra and shadows on high. I get ~30 average fps while flying over Pandaria and 70+ while zoned. WoW is really the only game I play, so what should I do to play everything ultra? Or at least close to it? Should I get another GTX 260 for like ~$50? or a single GTX 460 for ~$100? Looking at this benchmark I like the 460... But 2 260s may get me there too... http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/world-of-warcraft-cataclysm-directx-11-performance,2793-5.htmlSupher3 Mar 16, 2013

Mar 16, 2013 Get HDD, move Windows 8, Full WoW Install Okay. When I built my friend's computer, I used a scavenged 80gb SATA HDD and was going to use an old 500gb ATA IDE HDD + PCI Card for larger storage. But whenever the PC crashed, it messed up the booting, trying to load from the ATA that had no OS. Now I'm looking to grab a 2tb-3tb 7200RPM HDD to replace the main OS drive. After building the computer from scratch (the first time I'd done such a thing), I have NO desire to have to reload the OS, drivers, updates and set everything up back to working order. I understand I'll need a disk cloner program. Anyone have a recommendation based on what you guys use, and I'll be able to transfer the data to a larger volume, correct? (Not just copy the volume, so something similarly stupid.) Next question; What is the full install size of WoW on Windows 8? I'm not taking about what the installer program loads, because there are additional downloads that happen in-game. The Pandaria disc only loads Pandaria content. I haven't tried doing an expansion-by-expansion install yet because 1) I have the disc space problem, and 2) I don't know if there would be any issues loading discs several years old onto Windows 8. Anyone else try that? Problems? Sorry if these questions seem silly. I'm a Mac user, and my friend (and her PC) aren't easily accessible to test on due to driving distance, and ask these things ahead of my visits.Terrorsteel3 Mar 16, 2013

Mar 15, 2013 Looking for a new gaming mouse I thought I may pop in here to ask for advice before I burn another lump of money. I've got an Asus gaming laptop, and the only complaint I have is that the mouse pad is the worst I've ever had. So, I prefer to use mice when gaming, or for most stuff in general. The last two mice I've had have been the same model- the Naga Razer. Don't get me wrong, I've loved the functionality of the Razer, and I've made good use of the many side-buttons on the mouse- though getting it to function seems to be a problem. The first Razer I had, which had gone for a good 2.5 years before breaking down, had it's clickers worn out (I know this is a common problem for the model). It didn't take me long to get a replacement of the same model, because I figured it might have just been a one-time deal- but no, the second Razer I had broke down after only a little under a year, with the problem of what I suspect to be a frayed cord near the USB port. In order to be able for it to get power, I have to spend usually a good 5 minutes or so bending the cord all over the place to find a good... bendy point. You know what I mean. So, I'm deciding to not get another Razer. What I'm looking for in a mouse is at least two extra side-buttons. I'm considering going wireless, this time, but I've never used one and would like to get some feedback here as to which you guys might prefer. I admittedly don't know much about gaming mice. I'm really not looking to spend more than $70 on the mouse itself. This is one model I've been looking at, the SteelSeries WoW mouse: http://amzn.com/B005L38QHA Any comments are appreciated. Mar 15, 2013 Totally different mmo experience. Now for those who are not prejudiced against Asian themes... or looking for a game that has some really cool combat. I present to you. www.ageofwushu.com IF you were like myself and remember watching saturday kung-fu theatre. or love those old school Kung -fu movies. This game brings all that to you. You get master a discipline. Each has 3 specs. There is no really specific leveling. You join a Kung fu school.. and you learn abilities.. the type you would see used in some of those movies. You have 8 different storylines.. And the dailies involve really crazy battles. In which you do have to ulitize the kungfu you begin to master. ITs set in the past of China, There are spy quests.. diplomacy.. intrigue and of course some epic violence. The game is 19.99 for the deluxe edition and 9.99 a month sub. pretty inexpensive for the sheer content they provide the game is set in a massive world. And its nothing like Wow. So if you want to scratch your itch in something different the game is going live in north america in April. IF you do try it.. look me up on my Toon ShangchiPissedjedi3 Mar 15, 2013

Mar 14, 2013 Need hardware help Hello all, I am looking for some advice on what I should do as far as my current hardware set up is concerned. My full sized desktop tower is fairly old, but I've made some modifications over the years in order to keep up with WoW. Since the release of MoP, I've been getting horrible FPS in 25 man raids or large PvP battles. Mar 13, 2013 Razer Naga compatibility with Mac 10.8? Been running 10.6.8, but 10.6 isn't going to be supported on WoW anymore so I'm finally bothering to upgrade to 10.8. For anyone that has 10.8 and Razer products/Naga, do the drivers work for 10.8 at all? All I've seen off google is that they sometimes don't recognize the devices and they need to be plugged in/out until the drivers pick them up. Edit: Running 10.8 for a day now, Naga/Synapse working perfectly fine.Niernen4 Mar 13, 2013

Lizardmen are tempting but I can never be as good as Lil Skittles. If anybody else here plays care to offer some advice? Pretty please?Rosenivy0 Mar 13, 2013

Mar 13, 2013 Some Wireless Router Questions Right then, this is gonna sound embarrassing to ask, but considering my last adventure with my wireless router that ended up knocking out my internet for two weeks, I'd like to go ahead and ask these questions now seeing as I'm looking to purchase a new, better Wireless Router so I have better performance playing games online with my Vita and 3DS. Right then, here we go. - When I purchase the router, do I absolutely need to run the disc that comes with it or can I just hook it up and let her go? If so, can I then go into the Router Settings afterwards to set up a password, or does that have to be done with the installation disc? - There are multiple computers in my household, all hooked up with wires to the original router. If I have to use the installation disc, can I use it on ANY computer in the household, or what? - Lastly, for wireless play with Vita and 3DS, for games like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Ragnarok Odyssey, what strength Router should I be going for? Thanks all in advance.Yinian28 Mar 13, 2013
Mar 13, 2013 Anyone know how to OC a GPU I recently built a new computer and decided to get an Asus 7870 and want to OC it, but seem to be having some trouble. Everything is all fine and dandy at first when OC'ing it a little at a time then running the furmark benchmark (Oh yeah, I'm using the Asus GPU Tweak) but the second I try to run any game (WoW/Tomb Raider/Borderlands 2) the game either crashes (Tomb Raider/Borderlands 2) or suddenly has dropped from 60+ fps to 10- (WoW). Anyways, was wondering if anyone can explain why this might happen, or give some insight as to why it's happening. Was using http://rog.asus.com/96782012/graphics-cards-2/a-simple-... as a reference on how to use the GPU Tweak. I have an i5-3570k, Asus HD 7870 CUII, Asus z77 1155 LK Mobo, 8g of ram.Fæy4 Mar 13, 2013

Mar 13, 2013 New computer ideas? Well, I'm incredibly broke, and am looking for essentially the cheapest possible way to play WoW again, with decent FPS. Having never built one, I'm shy about going that route, only because I don't have the money to replace something if I mess it up. So, I guess- I'm literally looking for the cheapest PC available that will still play WoW, any ideas?Xðn3 Mar 13, 2013
