Mo'arg seem to come in a huge variety of types. It's possible that we don't see the engineering types is because they are not meant to front line troops.

I wonder how canon the WotA books are these days. Chronicle doesn't mention the time travelers at all when it describes the War of the Ancients. Though Broxigar has a cameo in the BRH flashback scenario.
