He saw Magni on the ship and understood that he is an Old God pawn. That's why he stabs the planet after looking back and seeing him on the ship and then tries to grab it as he is pulled away. He knows Magni will bring about the next phase of the Old Gods plan if he reaches Azeroth again.

It is most apparent right before you fight Aggramar.Exactly. I don't understand what's so hard to grasp about this. He goes through the portal from Argus to Azeroth while we fight in Antorus and presumably is trying to envelope the planet and currupt the world soul. But people are always so quick to board the "Lol the story is dumb and the lore sucks" train and assume he was just there the whole time.
