Your average drop rate seems to be what I am experiencing but your drop rates on the mounts seem a tad high. From what I have seen the mounts have a drop rate between 1/500 and 1/2000 but my sample size is small and based on experience instead of numbers.I do not like the way you collected your samples. I.E. 2 people running in the same instances as it skews the result.We would get a much better sample if we could get 100 or so players to run 100 normal expeditions independent of each other. When I first started farming islands for mounts etc I got booted a lot. They tend to boot you when you go off solo to farm the lucrative rares. Truth be told most normal people don't care about the vanity items and want to just speed through them because the islands are crummy content. Players like it when you stick together with them for whatever reason. Also they always go straight for the mobs that drop absolutely nothing especially azerite golem. I finally managed to get the one item I wanted from this content - Squawks. I farmed hundreds of islands after the loot "buff" a while back. Oddly enough it seems to me like normal was the best difficulty to farm because I could use a twink alt and invasions spawned much more frequently. I did try a few heroics but they dragged on forever and I usually ended up with only quest items.My method was:Get a twink alt to level 111, give him 2 bis legion legendaries, gear him with 111 crafted gear with bis stats, give him 2/3 piece azerite gear, and farm normal islands like crazy.
