The moment of blinding realization I had while staring at the character select screen that i didnt care about gearing or achievements anymore, that i already had more mounts than i could comfortably ever use, and that as a result i could just . . . not . . .log . . .on. Blizzard builds skinner box mechanics into the game to keep people playing and reward time-sink behavior, allows you to play-to-pay through the Tokens and has a gambling based reward system.Yes, games should be for fun. 3. Faction Conflict.This is where a lot of the problems crop up. The opposing team act like a particularly annoying pack of mobs instead of a compelling mechanic. First, there are sources of azerite you are compelled to race for, not because you want them but because you have to deny them to the opposing side. Particularly the Azerite Elemental spawn, and to a lesser degree certain rarespawns. Most of my alts are tanks. Thing i have found really frustrating is other players in expeditions deciding the way to play the expedition is to pull EVERYTHING and drag it on to the tank to deal with. Okay, so i get that the mission table is supposed to be a complete side-thing now with extremely limited rewards and a bunch of reasons not to do it.
