High Latency; often both World and Home

Technical Support
Hello!

I have recently (last few weeks) began to experience frustratingly high latency for both World and Home. It fluctuates between the two, but often times ends up with both of them at 1,500+ each.

A little back story: I've not experienced this before. We moved into our home in March, and I've not had problems. Changes are: wife got a new PC on our network. She had problems for a while, but somehow worked them out. No other game I play online experiences such abysmal latency issues. (e.g., LoL, FTB, WoT, FPS games on Steam)

Since I'm not sure what the problem is, or where to start, I'm at your mercy for figuring this out.

What information can I provide to you, facilitators, and how can I get it for you?
Also... I live in South Carolina, and I am a Time Warner Cable customer.
Hello Boyd!

Let's start off with this information:

Additional info - my wife also plays World of Warcraft on her computer, wireless on same network, without issue. I know there are many factors, but I thought it might bear some importance.

Additional info - my wife also plays World of Warcraft on her computer, wireless on same network, without issue.

This additional information is something I love to see, and it narrows it down to your wireless adapters and router. So the difference will be how your wireless adapter interacts with the Arris DG860, and how your wife's wireless adapter interacts with the Arris DG860:

DW1501 > Arris DG860

Wireless Adapter 2 > Arris DG860

Two things I'd look into:

1) Update the drivers for your DW1501
2) Try different wireless modes and wireless channels on the Arris DG860

Having same issue Latency is over 2000 ms home and world . This just started about 2 hrs ago . I also have TWC . If I new how to post what the ppl are doing above me I would But I have no clue how too . I also am EST .
if you follow the link tht the GM provided it takes you step by step telling you how to do it i did not know how as well untill i reade it :D
My drivers for that adapter are up-to-date, and were already.

I cannot complete your second request on my own. My router/modem unit is owned by Time Warner Cable; as such, I do not have any sort of access.

Additional info - I did have a period earlier this evening that was low-latency for both Home and World, almost immediately after my previous post. My latency was low up until I logged out and stepped away earlier. I am about to log back in, and will update if I experience any anomalies.

Standing by.
Update: I hopped in-game. All systems green for a moment. Then red. I was attempting an Ambush on a rogue of mine and the latency slayed me.

The latency read 200 Home, 600 World... but nothing was moving. I could click spells and abilities, and nothing happened. I waited many several seconds for it to come back, but it did not. I attempted to open the Help box from the in-game menu, and that advanced me about 1 millisecond. After another minute or so, I Alt-F4'd and decided I would wait for a response before trying again.

Thanks for your help so far, Velnrak. I appreciate it!
i have tried several things DLs ect that claim to lower your latency but nothing has helped me thus far i did not have this problem a few days ago and now all the sudden i can not do anything in game it takes me 1-2 mins just to open my mail i tried to heal a bg and it took 10-15 secs to cas a instant cast rejuv it is just bad
my Latency is perfectly fine in everything except wow i log in for 30 seconds and the my latency shoots up to over 1000

Zaxid, your issue shows very clearly in both your trace route and pathping.

Both you and Boyd need to contact Time Warner, and ask them the Username and Password to access the modem:
