Guild Recruitment
Hi Skipp!

You and your friend both have hardmode experiences but what kind of raiding environment are you looking for? If you two are looking for a more casual raiding experience, then I invite you to check out <The Tribe>. We're focused on 25 man content, but with the summertime and pre-expansion lull we have only been able to do 10 mans for most of the summer, and just recently got back into 25's. Now with our recruitment push, in addition to much of our membership returning, we are set up very well to be successful in Cata.

Here is our standard recruitment post so you and your friend can decide for yourselves if you think we'd be a good fit. Feel free to stop by our website for more information/details about us. If you like what you see, register on our forums and post your apps! Either way, best of luck to you both in Cata =)

Hello potential guild-mates!

For the first time in its history, The Tribe (Horde, Aggramar-US PVE CST) is opening its doors and actively recruiting new members. Since the guild's creation in December of 2004, <The Tribe> has become a widely recognized guild tag with an honorable reputation. Our core values of honesty, integrity, and fostering a community that values friendship over a piece of loot is what has made us successful through all of the ups and downs that this game has presented us with over the years. We will continue to uphold these principles through Cataclysm and beyond.

Our main activity as a guild is raiding, and we fall somewhere between "casual" and "hardcore" in terms of our approach. While we are 12/12 ICC (as of 11/9/10), we've gotten to that /point much slower than hardcore raiding guilds because of our "RL-friendly" raiding policies that are forgiving of the fact that people have families/kids/school/jobs. We strive to keep a good balance between being fair and accessible as well as putting our best foot forward to be successful in raids. This is just a small part of what makes us The Tribe; if you're interested in learning more about our policies and governance, check out our guild charter here: http://www.tribeofwarcraft.com/tribe-charter

In addition to providing an accessible raid experience, our guild participates in lots of diverse activities - PvP (we have a High Warlord and a Battlemaster), non-raid achievements, grouping/leveling for new characters and alts, etc. But the real reasons behind what makes The Tribe so great is all of the extra, non-game-based "content" that we offer - primarily a great community of friends who participate on an active forum (over 92,000 posts). You can check out our forums here: http://forum.longlivethetribe.com/ Don't let what you can see as a guest fool you, though; most of our boards are members-only. Our forum topics range from guild news to off-topic goofing around to serious, class-specific theorycrafting/coaching and everything in between. Additionally, we create our own events - we do an in-game "Secret Santa" gift exchange around Christmastime, we organize competitions (scavenger hunts, world PVP events, hide-and-seek, etc.), and we even have an annual RL party in the Chicagoland area over 4th of July weekend each year that has affectionately come to be known as "Tribefest".

We're looking for players who:
* Are mature (the average age of our members is roughly 30) yet still have a good sense of humor
* Want to be a part of a friendly community and don't view the social part of the game as a "necessary evil"
* Have the ability and desire to raid successfully, but not at the expense of real life commitments or guild relationships
* Can take advantage of our scheduled raids and other scheduled activities (typically 8pm-11pm central time, 2+ nights per week - attendance not mandatory)
* Want to help their guildmates by organizing or participating in other impromptu guild activities like PvP, unscheduled instance/raid groups, crafting, etc.

However, if you're interested in getting realm-first raiding achievements, always doing hard-mode versions of encounters, guild policies that actively exclude less-skilled players rather than try to help them get better, etc. then we can tell you already that we’re probably not a good fit for you. If you do meet our criteria and The Tribe sounds like a place you could call home, then we encourage you to apply here: http://forum.longlivethetribe.com/viewforum.php?f=19 Also, feel free to catch us in-game - whether it be an officer or member, you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone that doesn’t like to talk about the great guild that they are a part of.

We're excited to hear from you!

Cristalia, Chieftess of The Tribe
