Will this machine run cataclysm on ultra smoothly?

Easily.

If you want some idea how low wows sys requirements are.

I run a core 2 duo 3.0 ghz, 4GB DDR2, and a 512mb nvidia 9800GT and my machine runs on ultra smoothly even in 25 man raids.
Sweet! Thanks for the reply.
It's ultra shadows that will kill you.

Also, try to get a 460 over a 450.
Not a lot more expensive, but a lot more powerful.

I generally say lolAMD, but the new X6 1090T does look interesting.
That said, for a Wow PC 6 cores doeant have much use. Hell, for 90% of tasks 6 cores are useless.

For me, I'll probably go an i5 760 next.
Apparently they go quite well OC'd to 4ghz >:D
amd talks to components at 4 times the speed.
I'm running an AMD Phenom X4 Quad Core 945 Black edition with 4GB of DDR3 ram and a Raedon HD 5770 1GB O/C @ 900Mhz. It runs 120 or so FPS in ICC (sans boss fights) and I've peaked around 240 FPS outside of ICC.

However, I lack sufficient cooling in my box overall so I run in to fps spikes occasionally when things run hot. It's time to get a new case and upgrade the cooling. I've got my eye on the Cooler Master HAF 932 Black full-ATX case.

Id like to upgrade my vid card, im actually pretty happy with the 3.0ghz dual core, but id probably need better case cooling to run a better vid card, the 9800GT gets a tad warm every now and then.

need to upgrade OS too, Vista is meh.
An AMD 955 BE is all you need for games right now. Buying an i7 is overkill. For the OP though, I recommend building it yourself, or at least ordering through ibuypower, because then you can choose your parts. You can probably save some money buy grabbing an AMD quad core (955 BE is pretty much the best performance per dollar CPU) and use that money to up the video card to a 460 or 6850/6870 if you have enough.

Newegg or Tiger direct are both good choices to buy from, but personally I found newegg difficult to deal with and ended up buying my current machine from Tiger Direct. I will probably buy any future upgrades or new machines from them too.
Regardless of card I must recommend you turn the shadows down to high because frankly the shadows in this game are not well done.
