Thoughts?
The ability bloat and CC ones, I was expecting them, not surprising really, hope however that this doesn't necessary nerf some classes more than others, still they are good changes that were needed. Gotta admit was kind of boring because that was stuff we already knew.
On the other hand the racials entry really exited me, I'm happy you realize that some racials are really powerful and others really crappy, hope to see nice changes in WoD. I was concerned because I thought only the ones with hit, or expertise were being removed, I'm happy there was more thoughts on that.
More info from Blizzcon = News!

Celestalon is leaking a few specifics about racials and other stuff right now:

Looks like Shadow Blades is getting cut.
Good, I didn't like it anyway.
Nice to have this info in one place, but wasn't really worth Celestalon making himself available on Twitter for a couple hours.02/27/2014 06:14 PMPosted by DaxxarriLinking here for convenience.

A lot of these changes are a step in the right direction, but only implementation and execution will have any sort of final judgement. Ability bloat was, by and far, one of my main concerns and I am pleased to see that something is going to be done about it, BUT per the commentary, "It also includes removing some Spellbook clutter, such as passives that we can merged with other passives or base abilities" makes me hope that it's not an entirely aesthetic choice for the Spellbook to look a little cleaner.

Incredibly underwhelming, since all the information (barring the CC changes which I don't care about since I don't PvP) contained in this blog is stuff you already announced at Blizzcon six months ago.
You guys are doing an awesome work, I read all of those changes and I think its all for the best of Fun game
Keep up the good work Blizz!

I thought it was a great article on "why". I think the dissapointment people are showing is that they expected more if "what" is changing.

Yeah, that's a mess to read. I'll wait for the next blog.
If you want info on specific changes you need to go to twitter unfortunately.

Edit: Yeah twitter is a huge mess.

I'm glad Celestalon is being a GGG and giving info in tweeter , I think that would have been better presented on the blog though, would have been more exiting. Nonetheless I appreciate what Celestalon is doing.
Yup, I agree, it's always nice to know reasons though.

Thank you for clarifying so much about the item squish, which is a topic I find incredibly interesting -- and no, not because I am terrified that I won't be able to solo old content *eye roll*. I just think the whole process is fascinating.

Those are reasonably significant clarifications of intent, though. They easily could have merited a blog of their own.
That's true, some people are just excited to see some WoD content, myself included.
I love the changes, by the way. A long time coming.

Sure, that's understandable. The 'why' is pretty important though. Hopefully some of that will reach the ears of players who hadn't been aware of it before.
02/27/2014 06:35 PMPosted by Gávinnthey are giving everyone the same racial...wth
Similar, perhaps, but not the same. Certainly not to the extent that you seem to be suggesting. Though it could readily be argued that's already the case with the existing racials to a greater or lesser extent.
Having seen them(!), I'll say that they vary in the specifics in a way that feels nicely flavorful to me.
I really like how the power will scale in an almost straight line right up past 85.
Hopefully this will cut into the "OMG PULL TEH WHOLE ROOM NOOB GOGOGO" kind of gameplay. People might actually have to learn to play their classes BEFORE they hit max level. Oh the horror! And the new people trying out BGs and 5 mans might not have to sit back and watch the BoA covered people one shot everything. But as we all know, the ability to solo old raid content will still be the deciding factor in the success or failure of WoD....

(Remember, no more haste breakpoints!) Touch of Elune, a new passive which grants 1% Haste at night, 1% Crit during the day.
Haha awesome. I never thought this would go through.
My Only thought was I wish they would do away entirely with all power adding racials and make them more like the Tauren faster herb gathering racial.
No matter how you "flavor" them, 1% crit is going to be more or less desirable than 1% haste or 10% haste 10% of the time. Their will always be a min/max exagerated case that everyone just believes as gospel and so is the fotm.
