Doesn't seem to have made it's rounds yet.
It's nice they acknowledge it's a problem.

And they do seem to be legitimately listening to feedback on things. Like Yrel being changed from Velen's niece and Maraad's lover, the new female Warlords, Aggra showing up.

As for the eye candy in HotS, Tyrande and Nova have always been eye candy. So I don't think that's a problem specific to HotS and more a problem with how those characters are portrayed in other games. Though, that Zagara sure is a hottie.
Is there a TL:DR version of their crime and apology? It's too long and meandering for me to follow.

At least Tyrande's shown as competent eye candy, like the night elves of yesteryear. She's actually less sexualized in HotS than in WoW. No damn heels.

Ehh.

That was Tyrande in WC3. She certainly didn't start out as Eyecandy as much as covered in plate and robes and kicking !@#.

It wasn't until the Knaak books, I think, that she started being depicted as Eye Candy by the authors.. But really, I can't fault Blizzard for this, because generally speaking, THEIR depictions of Tyrande are rather tame compared to most other female leaders in WoW. Not perfect, by any means.

But certainly her first appearance was hard to call eye candy.
Tl;dr: "We don't really get that women are people yet, but we're working at all levels of the organization to figure out why this is, and why they would want to play [our] games. Also, feedback is important*, so please keep sending in constructive suggestions. Thanks!

*except where it concerns King Chin, Anduin or Thrall whose centrality to the story is considered non-negotiable.

She was in a bra and panties on the night elf campaign screen.

You can totally see her butt in HotS.

Same stuff myself and others have mentioned before...

Lack of strong female characters, and when they are there, it always comes at a heavy cost, or diverse characters are always shown in an evil/negative light, and because of the lack of diversity, the story suffered, and it wasn't drawing people any more.

Thus, the apology of "Our bad, we be tryin"

She was in a bra and panties on the night elf campaign screen.

That wasn't Tyrande.

The sentinels have certainly been a bit...uhh.. skimpy, and it's always been something that bugs me, but the heavier units lacked the skimpiness. I'm not defending it, of course, but it is what it is.

Not commenting on HotS, of course, as I've not been keeping up with it
Those are some spicy tags in that article.

Duck face is fierce.
.....

Ok, the side slit thing is a bit much, but bejeebus that is better than WoW's.
I love the Tyrande model in Heroes of the storm lol... she should be like that in wow

A night elf archer AND THAT IS FINE because in w3 the nelves were #savage

We need w3 archers back (and the Huntress with plate armor).

I sort of forgave the Archers a little bit as well because their click jokes in some cases deliberately made fun of the sexiness thing, and the skimp was pretty much contained to the Archers. Huntresses had a bit more going for them, Warden were heavily armored, and the POTM just had face and ears showing. I mean, it's not like the sexiness was everywhere.

The Jaina model they showed at Blizzcon was pretty great too.

Can we get the character artists from Heroes on WoW?
Blizzard shouldn't be apologizing. The feminists should be apologizing for bringing such a burden on Blizzard.
^ Can't tell if sarcastic or stupid.

Tbh, I think it goes a long way to show flexibility in that suit of armor considering she's not riding but running around.
Inb4 words like "sjw" or "politically correct"

I don't get how Tyrande's look is demeaning. It fits pretty well, for WC3 and Heroes.
