How accurate is the AMD processor? I have a FX-4100 at the moment and my FPS in game is 15-20 during raids and 20-30 outside raids on medium graphics. Low didn't help either. I have a pretty decent GPU which is GTX 660. I had a different one that came with the pc that was extremely low end and after upgrading there wasn't much difference.

Edit: Found the GPU name.
If anyone is worrying keep in mind they did some serious optimization that should keep you around the same performance level you're experiencing now, even with the new character models.
C'mon, announce the end of season 15 already so we know 100% 6.0 is in two weeks!
*Gulp* Time to dust off that old AMD Athlon II X2 250
I'm not sure how recommended is only 4 gigs of ram. I'd never let wow touch a system that didn't have at least 8 gigs. Wow alone can use up to 2.4 gigs, and 4 gigs would leave almost nothing for the system and system libraries such as directx or opengl. or other programs. I'd put the MINIMUM at 4 and recommended 8+
6GB RAM
i3 @ 3.07GHz
video card: 5770 ATI RADEON
Mouse: Logitech G600

Just some playtest numbers in case people are looking to see how the performance has improved.

During raid testing, addons included, I'm running in Low-Mid settings (High/Ultra on Textures, but low/disabled on things like SSAO, Shadows, and Liquid Detail) -- these are my typical settings.

In WOD, my FPS ranges from 90 to 150 depending on raid environment. In a highly populated area, I'm maintaining 30 fps, mostly due to the particle density I have selected.

On Live, I'm used to playing at 5-15 fps on the pull, and 20-40 fps throughout the encounter-- 25H raid. I rarely go over 60fps in a stress-free environment.

Very surprised this old rig has lasted 4 years under the stress I normally operate under (25H raiding -- our Tank's video card literally melted on Heroic Spine.). The performance improvement is very, very noticeable. So, if you're not in the recommended settings on all fronts, you're perfectly fine, so long as you aren't too much older than my setup here.

Hoorah, there is no longer any shader model 3.0-class hardware that meets the minimum requirements!

Now I'm wondering if DirectX 9 support will be axed altogether when the next expansion rolls around.
so I guess my 6770 video card is fine with my 4 gigs of ram on xp(lol..I know) with a intel cpu g630 2 core 270hrz will work fine..it has so far in beta on good settings
iMac
3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo
4 GM 1067 MHz DDr3
ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB

In the beta I'm able to run at good except for highly populated areas like the portal and end of the starting zone. Had to drop it one notch. Kinda worried this isn't enough machine now?

Thanks,
-Barin

You can go to gpuboss.com to see how your graphics card stacks up to the requirements. Pay close attention to the DirectX 11 benchmark since that is what is used in WoW. (DirectX 9 for lower end cards)

My GTX 550 TI is slightly under the recommended requirements, however, the DirextX 11 is much better than the GTX 470.

Edit.. I run my GTX 550 TI on Ultra and have 30-40 FPS in LFR using DirectX 11
Poor people.. *powers up my HP envy Phoenix desktop* RAWR!!!!!
