Here's to bettering the Horde's WPvP

Bleeding Hollow
Greeting!

It seems like the Horde needs a jump start on WPvP. Maybe because a few guilds spend more time slinging mud at each other than they do working together to better the WPvP of Bleeding Hollow.

Wouldn't it be more constructive to start folding guilds together for this purpose?

Maybe set up some sort of system within this guild to encourage those who would disband their guild to join? Maybe an officer rank for every GM who brings over 15+ members?

What are your guys' thoughts? The WPvP for Horde won't get any better until we decide to make it better.

Thanks!
Feel free to disband your guilds and join <Declaration of War>.

DoW is the Horde's only hope to stand against juggernauts such as The Enclave and Alliance Vanguard in large-scale World PvP.
Getting numbers is all well and good, but y'all need to have a strong leader who can direct troops, call for cooldowns, etc.

Not to mention a bunch of healers who aren't crap, a lot of dps who can drop damage on a target or an area when called for, and for everyone to be up and mounted and moving when needed.

Good luck.

Since when are they juggernauts? They can't even field more that 40 because the GM of Enclave doesn't trust his own officer core to lead other groups. AV's GM spends more time on his twitter than doing anything in the game.

It's a good thing we have Caine. Our WPvP leader is amazing!

With less oxygen expelled. You need something like an NCO or Officer of Ruin Gaming.

Thanks for the shout out USDK

Good luck to you all.

That stun and knockback are very dangerous. Faction leaders need those dangerous mechanics like that.

Please go back to fading into irrelevancy.
If I wanted an officer of RG I'd download an auto ginvite mod.
The Defilers tried to get the horde WPVP guilds together to fight as a united force but out of the seven guilds that were interested in the event, only four (including us) showed up, 2 of which brought less than 10 members, one of which was unwilling to communicate properly. We're trying to get the horde kick started, but we can't do that if people don't want it. If anyone else has any ideas, or want to start up another event, feel free to whisper me or send an in game mail

Our guild was one of the two, and was the one that was unwilling to communicate properly. We were asked to participate in this "secret" meeting and that something amazing would unfold on a Friday night. Unfortunately many of our guild members had something come up IRL and could not attend. However, there were some of us that did attend. The "amazing" event, was our guilds were suppose to come forward to attack Stormshield. Before grouping up and meeting in Warspear, I received a whisper from a Ruin Gaming member saying "Good luck tonight, this will be fun." I found this odd, because it was suppose to be a secret and we did not even know where we were hitting until the last moment. There were also communications issues with the fact that each guild wanted to stay in their own voice com. One guild used vent, another teamspeak, another mumble and so on. For this to work, everyone needed to be able to hear the target caller, which they could not.

After arriving in Warspear, we moved into Stormshield through a "secret way". What did we find there? Two RG raids waiting for us at the exact point where we came in. Now...there are a few different ways to enter Stormshield, so what is the likeliness that they were in the exact position we were coming, and had two raid groups formed up waiting?

That isn't how we roll, so we went our own direction.

Roxamus set that event up without making sure that everything was prepared, and that communication between the guilds was available.

We want WPvP and if you have any ideas that don't feel like a set up, then by all means, we are interested in listening.
You know how to start wpvp? By doing it

It's possible that RG had members planted in one or more of the guilds involved. Maybe even in your group. They had "spies" in TE and AV so they could try and learn their strategies. Those people we so inept they had to copy other guilds and have an inside look at their opposition and they still got rolled. If I had a heart, it would be swelling with pride right now. Once again, the fickle mistress known as The Hollow has culled another weak guild. The cycle continues.
Some thoughts:

1. The Horde has been Balkanized, in part by the fracturing of IWC. To combat this, there needs to be one strong leader and one strong guild. Yet I doubt the leadership of any of the large guilds will disband their guilds; each wishes to have the other guilds rolled in to his/her guild. Who can emerge as this leader?

2. The situation Alexciana describes with two RG groups waiting is what happens when you let people play both sides. All it takes is one jerk to undermine the effort of multiple raid groups. People chafed at IWC's insistence that a player not have Alliance toons on Bleeding Hollow. Poor background checks of new members led to this happening to IWC on more than one occasion. Ask AV about our wargame in which our target caller was a secret member of their guild.

3. What kind of PVP do you want? As Twam says, WPVP just happens—but this only applies to spontaneous action by smaller groups. If you want to take multiple raid groups into hostile territory, then you need a higher level of organization.

My advice:

We form a Horde meta-guild in which each person interested in zerg-style world PVP keeps a single toon. When we wish to do that, we all log onto that toon, group up, get on a single voice communication module, and do what we want. We can keep our mains in whichever guild we wish them to be in. This way, the leadership of the current guilds, understandably loathe to disband their guilds, can maintain the culture and structure they have built up.
You are not seriously blaming IWC's ineptness on lolspies are you?

Spy? Really? Lets not blame lack of leadership or skill that your team had. But whatever lets you sleep at night after being humiliated.....TWICE.

What would you call it when a someone is TC and who has focus fire macros set on him targets pets and totems, quits IWC, and joins the guild he was just in a wargame against?

Anyways, do you have any constructive advice for the Horde?
