Possible Ban Wave?

Getting a few rumblings here and there about you-know-what users getting popped after Warden set it off.

Nothing I can confirm just yet, which is precisely why I'm posting this.

Nose around, see if you can confirm/find anything out.

EDIT: POTENTIAL CONFIRMATION. HB FORUMS LIGHTING UP WITH PEOPLE BAWWING ABOUT BEING BANHAMMERED.

EDIT #2: It seems inconsistent. A lot of multibotters seem to have slipped through whereas others (including a 3x glad hunter, kek) got a 6 month banhammer.

Edit #3: Still more bans trickling out/being discovered. Seems it was a lot more than just a handful. Also. PvErs genuinely seem to believe that nobody is botting in PvE at all. Kek. Also, new version of HB has been released, so Skynet has reasserted control over it's various parts. Expect Kickbotting, perfect CC timing, etc once more out of people that couldn't handle being circle-strafed around 12 hours ago.
for bottin?

for bottin?

That's what I'm hearing. Levellers and combat routines both. Got nothing concrete yet.

Anything between 72 hours and 6 months.

Gonna bump this once more to say no, for Honorbuddy.

I really want to know if we can get some kind of confirmation on this or if it was just a few gross overoffenders that I unfortunately know that've been popped.
WHY WOULD they warn them lol

Should be permanent, anything less will never actually deter botting

6 months is enough to make someone lose interest and not come back, or make them go out and re-buy the entire set.

I totally agree with you that it should be 100% permaban on the first offense.. but if Blizzard finally did drop the hammer, something is significantly better than nothing.

Maybe in another universe, blizz cares about botters.

If your'e referring to the random characters, I'm just making sure that I haven't been relisted on cogshanks.

Fair enough. The HB Ban forums though do show that at least some bans did happen, and all at once.

Edit: And from reading the posts, at least one of them didn't continue botting after the Tripwire event and still got hit.

Looks like the mass discos caused by Tripwire were enough to get Blizzard's attention. Whatever they did apparently was also set to catalog whoever got kicked.
Hmm.

The only thing I've heard about that thing lately was from a thread in the
battleground forums. It was about that thing DC'ing people because Warden
was finally updated. lol

Other than that, nada.

The thread here, digged it up just cause.

Reporting from 4chan. Lot of people mad about getting banned for botting.

Good on ya, Blizzard.
