You are now a GM

I'd enter a random server as a raid-HP equivalent boss version of Edwin VanCleef, tagged as undead, and attack Stormwind from the front gates to take out Baros Alexston. That lousy scab.

Then I'd read the part of the contract about fun and get put on the phones instead.
Poof, Mythic Blackrock in Stormsheild and all the players are giraffes :)
I am, just not for WoW or Blizzard.

I'd love to handle Blizzard support though... I'm way more familiar with WoW than any game I've worked on. Plus the satisfaction of banning trade trolls would be so much greater in a game I care about.
Ban ALL the /2 trolls.
The GMs actually have very little power... in fact, they really can't do anything at all.
Reenact every single instance of dragon feeding found in GmDave's blog... since it's wow and not ffxi, sub Ony for Jorgy.

I think people are getting confused with the different types of jobs at blizzard

CM: Community Manager. They read the forums, interact with the community, and then discuss that at meetings.

GM: Game Master: They read tickets, answer them, occasionally catch the player online and initiate a GM chat, restore items, fix things that got broken, and so on.

Now it gets tricky:

Designer: They come up with new ideas, and then pass the finished concept to the

Developer: Actually creates the thing Design came up with.

There are a ton of other jobs and roles within Blizzard, and that's just WoW.

5 games, with a 6th coming? That's a lot of folks!

In addition to that, they have folks in the eSports department, Web design, Artists, etc

Not to mention the most important department at any office.

IT. The guys who keep all those pieces of technology working, as well as the specialists who keep everything secure from inside and out.

Don't take my word for it though... look here: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/careers/
Fill all the complainer's bags with deeprock salt.

Definitely.

But in their defense, at a lot of companies that aren't as structured or successful as Blizzard, being a GM does mean you can pretty much do whatever and call it an "event".
Lightning Bolt cast on the move for Elemental Shamans ...
I would repeatedly spawn Arthas, Deathwing, Illidan and Kael'thas in Stormwind and make them fight each other along with leaving a huge crater in the middle of the town
Run around punting every non-gnome into a neighbouring zone.
And polymorphing every gnome into a Ultralisk for a day.
Rain thousands of level 105 Infernals from the sky onto every major city.
I'm a GM now?

Look at that everyone is 500x larger and flying.

Yes, that is what I'd do.

He doesn't have to be. I have personally killed him many times in Stormwind. The only death that was more satisfying than his was that condescending tree.
