This Is For The Players Who Want To Raid But Cant Because Reasons

If you are someone who wants to try this raiding thing but gets turned off by the vocal minority of Raiders in this game, then this thread is for you.

If you are someone who just wants to raid in a low-pressure group that cares more about killing bosses and having a good time, then this thread is for you.

If you are someone who wants to LEARN to raid without being berated for low dps, low awareness, etc., then this thread is for you.

If you have Autism or any other disability that would keep you out of PuGs in LFG do not be afraid of joining this group.

I'm diagnosed with Developmental Dyspraxia and other developmental disabilities and a panic disorder and I'm not ashamed of who I am. I have difficulties others take very light, especially when it comes to learning new things. I know for a fact, everyone learns differently. Every group I lead is different. I don't lead carry runs, I can't promise kills but what I can promise is you will experience a judgement-free raiding environment and you will learn how to do many things in Raids. I'm not perfect at how to lead but I do my best at helping people overcome barriers.

This is for beginners, players with disabilities, and anyone else who wants to help people get into raiding and move past LFR.

Very friendly group for beginner. Would recommend anyone to check this out.
I understand how frustrated you have been with people treating you so badly when you tried to start raiding. You also got a lot of grief again from arrogant jerks that think everyone should be able to learn and perform exactly the same as themselves or they weren't worth the effort. Those people are jerks.....they are not eliists and not an accurate representation of the raiding community.

Open Raid is made of of people from the raiding community and they are a very good example of how most raiders tend to be very professional with reasonable expectations. Of course, since anyone can list a raid, you will still get the occasional jerk.

Raiders that are abusive are jerks. Raiders that think they are better than everyone else and judge everyone are jerks. Unfortunately, you have a tendency to paint all raiders or most raiders in a negative light, and I don't think that is fair. Most experienced and skilled raiders are just regular people. You hurt your cause when you start name calling and generalizing people. We don't like it we they did that to us for being inexperienced.

You are an amazing person to use so much personal time to help many people into raiding. You helped me to experience a whole new facet of the game and move forward to enjoy the challenge and push myself. I will always appreciate your support and faith in me. However, you have such empathy for people that have struggled, you tend to get angry on their behalf and lash out. This only hurts your cause and incites people to mess with you and upset you further.

You can not condem the "toxic attitude" of the forums and then call people stupid, elitist and insult the entire raiding community. I am also floored at how so many players are antagonist towards you helping other players. What you do will never affect them in any way. They are just belittling other people to make themselves feel better. You have every right to be frustrated when you invite people to a learning group and they complain about wipes or insult the group.

I understand that all these things tear you up inside and you only want to help. Please, remember all the people that have already benefitted from your efforts. Remember these people when you get mad and frustrated and take a breath. I implore you to please stop insulting the raiding community as a whole, due to the actions of a horrible vocal minority and please stop using the word "elitist". It will only incite more antagonistic attitudes towards you.

You are doing an amazing thing here. Please, stop shooting yourself in the foot. My game experience is so much more because of you. I want you to continue to succeed.
This really needs to be stickied. One of the best resources for the community available. +1

Everyone pester admin to get Mord's stuff stickied yo!
Well, every time I try to sign up my Alliance priest I get "Openraid is not responding". Guess I'll try again later or just look for your group on the raid finder and if there's room I'll apply :)

Thanks for doing this by the way. You rock!!!
I appreciate the efforts of people like you, I really do, but

turned off by the majority of Raiders in this game, then this thread is for you.

Please don't generalize. All of my (limited) raid experience comes from PuGs and they're not all the demons people like to make them out to be.

The first PuG I joined was a really friendly partial guild run, and that experience gave me the courage to PuG again. Most of the ones since have been your standard" group of strangers PuG", but people were still nice, explained fights, didn't rage after a wipe/explained what went wrong. In fact the first person I could be considered "rude" I encountered just last night. Hundreds of strangers, and only one jerk (and he wasn't even THAT rude).

Similarly, ninja looting is no where near as prevalent as the complaint threads on this board would make you think.

It does happen of course, just there are rude people who raid (or do BGs or anything else), but in my experience they are the exception, not the rule. Hopefully, people who join your group, will then feel comfortable joining other groups (like what happened to me) and they'll see that LFG PuGs aren't total cesspools.

And thanks again for being so friendly. People like you are what enabled me to raid. I'm alliance on the east coast (so 10pm start time is a little late for me) or else I'd be happy to help (not that "pro" or anything (see "limited experience" above)).
I think stickying the threads might be a bad idea because I never read the stickies.

Best of luck getting groups together in the meantime, though!
