Launching WoW from SD Card Slot

Mac Technical Support
I have a 2.4GHz Core i5 15.4" Macbook Pro with an SD card slot. I have a 5400 RPM HDD.

I am wondering if I could expect improved performance from WoW on the SD card instead of my HDD.

I guess my fundamental questions is.. could SD be faster than a 5400 RPM?
Also, related to this topic.. can I delete these files?

As far as the SD slot, I wouldn't know the exact answer.

As far as those files. I don't have the same structure as you so I don't see them, however it is better to list what NOT to delete. Those may be in your updates folder from what you listed.

Probably easier to list what NOT to delete

Blizzard Downloader.app
Blizzard Updater.app
Data
Patch.html
Logs
World of Warcraft Launcher.app
World of Warcraft Repair.app
World of Warcraft.app
WoW.mfil <--This is safe to delete but don't delete for sake of space
WoW.tfil <--This is safe to delete but don't delete for sake of space

I love STV. All the animals are so nice. They just run out of the jungle as your passing by and greet ya. I just have a warm and fuzzy feeling every time I run through. No, wait, that warm and fuzzy feeling is the friggin Tiger that jumped me.
So, just to be clear, I can delete the 5GB of data in the updates folder?

Yes you can.

The updates folder will rebuild itself but without the 3.3.5 - 4.0.1 data.

Just Mac OS specific patch files.

Should be about 17.5 MB
Thanks! That's a hefty savings in disc space.
