View Distance

UI and Macro
I was wondering is there any addon that makes your view farther away from your toon ?
/console farclip #

Default is 350, the slider goes between 185, and 1250, int he in-game options, and max values are between 0, and, I think 1600 when set manually.
I put 6000 on a whim and damn its nice...

First, nice necro.

Second, a value of "6,000" is the same as setting the in-game slider to 6.

Third, there's no reason to manually input a value for farclip, as the in-game slider takes care of several CVars (including farclip) that further increase view distance of other objects. In other words, simply setting farclip by itself limits the actual view distance of other objects in the game world.
Archtect, in the US and Commonwealth (Aus, UK, etc) we use a decimal point, not a comma. 6,000 is six-thousand, where 6.000 is six-point-zero-zero-zero.

Also, Anaiia set they set farclip to "6000", not "6,000".

farclip max is 1300. Setting farclip to 6000 should clamp it to 1300. (The wiki says it might crash WoW, but that's probably been fixed).

With Legion, when the in-game View Distance setting changed from a drop-down to a slider, the farclip scale changed (WoWPedia is wrong):

1 = 1500
2 = 2000
3 = 3000
4 = 5000
5 = 6000
6 = 6000
7 = 7000
8 = 8000
9 = 8000
10 = 10000
(yes, some of the values don't seem consistent, but I just verified them again now)

However, the View Distance slider, as well as the graphicsViewDistance CVar adjusts several CVars when used, so adjusting just farclip alone is a waste of time. Since Legion, farclip has a ceiling of 10,000 and a floor of 1,000, and the View Distance slider will get you there (just set it to 10 or 1, respectively).

Also, while the comma does look weird, the CVar does accept commas in its value for farclip (both 6000 and 6,000 are accepted as the same value).
