(A) The Bastion-LFM

Feathermoon and Scarlet Crusade
The Bastion (formerly the Bastion of Sanity) has had a solid presence on Scarlet Crusade since July of 2005. We are a group of friends who share a common interest in gaming and enjoy a relaxed friendly place to hang out, play games, chat, and even (gasp!) role play.

We have been organizing cross-guild raids for years and have a number of extremely talented people in our raid team.

We are are actively recruiting solid, reliable damage dealers to join us on our raids, however we are always happy to bring in any new members who share our ethics, our pride, and our core values. We intend to continue to succeed at our pace, but we have found that we do not need to do so at the expense of our friends and family.

Our raid times are Pacific Standard Time.

So long Draenor, and thanks for all the new friends!
As most of you recall when the pre-patch hit I stopped running Open Raids on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and announced that we would start them back up again the first week of LFR. That week is upon us, and it is with mixed feelings that I announce that we will not be starting the Open Raids back up again at this time.

Our experiences with Open Raid were fantastic. We met a great number of awesome people who we really enjoyed playing the game with. What we did not expect (though secretly hoped) was that many of them chose to transfer servers and join our guild. Combined with a number of people that returned to the game and several new people that stumbled across our family outside of Open Raid we now have a very large friendly active guild. Big enough in fact that we are running two separate raid teams with only a small amount of crossover between the two.

With the creation of a full second raid team and the expansion of in-game content to include scaling Mythic dungeons there aren't enough days in the week to run Open Raids. Now the expansion is new, and it is not unusual for people to show up for the beginning of the expansion, play for a couple months, and then disappear again until the next expansion. So, the future at this point would be difficult to predict. But, as of right now we have too many people that we can't afford to run Open Raids without benching some of our own guild members to make it happen, and obviously that is something we would never do.

So, what is good for the guild is a mixed blessing as we miss out on the opportunity to raid with many wonderful people but we are a thriving guild and we need to embrace where we are now. I thank you all for the great Open Raid memories and hopefully there will be an opportunity to game with some of you again in the future.

p.s. We are recruiting a tank and a couple healers for Tuesday/Wednesday evenings.

We raid on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-9 PM PST. Right now we're doing Normal Emerald nightmare, but plan to kick it up to Heroic in the near future.
We are no longer actively recruiting for either of our two raid teams. We are always happy to have more friends in the guild, but our teams are both full.
