Turn off XP

New Player Help and Guides
Is there a way to turn off XP gains so that I can finish questing in a zone without outlevelling the next before I get there?

These NPCs allow you to do this, but it costs you gold.

My advice, if you want to quest through a whole zone, just do it. Don't waste your gold just for questing. If you want to challenge yourself, a better way would be to gimp your gear and take certain spells off your action bar.
I see. Thanks! I just thought experiencing the content at the appropriate level would be more engaging.

There are a great many more quests in each zone than what are needed for you to outlevel the zone. Leaving XP on will result in the quests eventually becoming trivial and boring within the zone.

Costs 10g to turn XP off and another 10g to turn it on again but the big issue is that you have to travel to either SW or Org to do it. There is no way to do it in the field.

If you do want to do as many quests as possible, you should look up the Loremaster achievement/title. Many players do it at level cap when they have flying and time available. Most use addons like the combination of Wholly and Grail to find missing quests.
