See how close you are to your next Legendary

General Discussion
i use it for fun and its been pretty accurate for me.
In for later
Both of my toons are over like 500 then what it should be so... ya
Doubt it's accurate. Our prot paladin just got 3 legendaries today, one just before raid and 2 in the raid.

RNG is real.
"You should have received your first legendary by now."

...that makes me feel so much better about the 0.
"You should have received your first legendary by now"

I got 4 O_O

Strangely, of these 4, 2 appeared just right after I renewed my sub (I renew my sub on a monthly basis)...
You know, you'd think Blizzard would have covered that this isn't going to be accurate.

Oh wait, they did. https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20753149009#post-1
The rate at which players acquire Legendary items is a subject that we’ve kept a very close eye on since the launch of Legion. We’ve generally tried to avoid getting into too much technical detail on the system behind your chance to get a Legendary, but we would like to say a bit more on what we’ve done behind-the-scenes up to this point.

As many players have figured out, changes were made to legendary drop rates with patch 7.1 and patch 7.1.5 – when those patches went live, your chance to receive a Legendary increased in pretty much all cases. What you might not have noticed is that we’ve been steadily increasing your chances since then. One of our long-term goals is to allow you to switch specific Legendary items in and out as the situation warrants, and regularly increasing drop chances is one way of ensuring that that happens.

We’ve also made adjustments that leveled off what used to be steady decrease to your chance to get subsequent Legendaries after your first. When Legion launched, every time you earned a Legendary, your starting chance to earn your next one would be lower (and thus, the average time it took you to loot it would be longer). At this stage, however, most players in the Broken Isles are no longer hunting for their first Legendary, and many already have their second. We didn’t want you to feel as though your good fortune in the past equates to harder times in the future, so we normalized drop chances for subsequent Legendaries after your second. Right now, in Patch 7.1.5, your first Legendary has the highest drop chance, the second still has a significant bonus, and then you’ll have the same chances to earn your third Legendary as you will your fourth, fifth, sixth, and so on.

We think it’s important to get this across clearly: it currently takes the same amount of luck/effort to get your third Legendary as it takes to get your eighth. We’ve seen a few players and tools attempting to use historical data to predict their drop chances, but because of how regularly we’ve been increasing Legendary drop rates, that data is extremely outdated – and their conclusions extremely inaccurate. In short, your chance of receiving that next Legendary is probably a lot better than you think.
That's a cool website.

Now if only they could predict when Nomi will drop a recipe.

EDIT: It says I should have 2 Legendary and I do have 2. 63% to my next Legendary.
Heh, that website is so far off for me, it's crazy.

It says I should have 2 but I have 4. Interesting though. :)

Yeaaaah... I'm still waiting on the 'increased' drop rate of level 3 recipes from Nomi. He just keeps burning 100's of my hard earned cooking mats.

It's not even remotely accurate. You can't predict randomness.

I guess you skipped the chapter on probabilities in high school mathematics.

Even though the data for this site is outdated and not entirely correct, with the correct data it could conceivably build an algorith to give you an idea of when a legendary would drop (within a small error margin).
Says I should have 2 but only have 1. Random is random I guess.
I don't actually care about Legion's Legendaries. They're so rare and unlikely to drop that if I go the rest of my life without getting one, I will be okay with that.

Erm...

Did you take your high school probabilities class?

Because what you're suggesting is not representative of how random chance works.
It says I have/should have one legendary, at 1007 killpoints - but I have three legendaries.

Does this mean I'm just super lucky, considering I'm a very casual player?

Then again, I still haven't gotten that darned fox mount that I've been farming for months for...

Like I said, It's just a fun thing to look at.

Just got another legendary. Finally gone from two general purpose ones to two that I'm smiling a little over.

Had to craft a replacement or two. Drops have not been as good as I would like.

Isn't that true for everyone.

So check out this website, It uses " Kill Points " to estimate how close you are to getting your next Legendary.

how accurate is it? Probably not very but it's cool. I saw it on Reddit.

Just type in your realm and character name.

I have seen people claiming they got a Legendary on the same day that the website said they were close to getting one.

It's correct for my Warlock, I do have 3 Legendaries and I feel I should get my 4th soon as I havent gotten one for like 2 months.

It seems to be correct for my Paladin too, He has 1 Legendary and it says he should only have 1.

I HEARD it isn't super accurate for alts because it is giving them + 200 or +300 free points for some reason.

i hope its not at all accurate. i put myself in and my next legendary is sephuz. give me almost any other and i would be happy.

Should have 2 leggos by now. Has zero

Should have 2 leggos by now. Has zero

Should have 5 leggos by now. Has nine.

Gonna go out on a limb and say this thing isn't remotely accurate.
On all of my toons who have zero legendaries that thing said I should have two. On the toons with one it says I should have three. Yeah that's accurate LOL.
OK... so I should be nearing my 3rd Legendary but I only have 1 D:
My legendary luck is so stupid no site is accurate.

Not to complain or anything, but having to wait 5 months for a fifth legendary while maintaining constant activity (in a mythic progression guild so its required) is beyond dumb.
