UPDATE:Forbes wrote an article about us!

The Call of the Crusade. Eight years ago, it resounded across Azeroth. Champions from all over the world arrived at the world’s summit to prove their mettle. It was here that an old paladin showed Azeroth that, regardless of race or creed, there is no challenge that we cannot face united. And so, as was prescribed so many years ago, a grand tournament will be held before we plunge into the darkness. This is the Tournament of Ages.

For seven days you will find yourself in a scene of wonderment and jubilation - a scene that has gathered banners from all four corners of the world. As champions square off in glorious combat, the mighty races of the world will showcase their cultures in a diverse assortment of pavilions. Only here can the spirit of chivalry be celebrated as it was eight years ago. Only here can hommage be properly paid to the one whose clarion words stirred so many hearts with valor.

This is your invitation.

    Main Competitions

Considered by many to be the premier event of the Tournament of Ages, this bold and exciting sport is an essential competition for any adrenaline jockey. With a sturdy lance in hand, champions from the Alliance and Horde will seek to dismount their opponents in a whirlwind of furious charges. But brace yourself for fierce opposition, for only one will be awarded the grand prize in the end.

    D20 Battles
D20 Battles (referred to as 'sparring' in RP) are one-on-one fights described through emotes and determined by dice rolls. Challenge other roleplayers in duel of fates where you have the chance to show off what your character is capable of with the power of words. With a little bit of luck on your side, taking home the grand prize may not be as far-fetched as you think.

Not everyone is cut out to be a gladiator. In the arena, one slight miscalculation could mean the end for you and your team. It will take more than unshakable courage to succeed in this unforgiving competition. It's going to take a team of three champions with strategy, faith, and indomitable willpower.

This PVP competition will be a series of one-on-one matches for DPS specializations of each individual class. Since each bracket is restricted by class, all spells and abilities will be allowed. No potions, food, or other outside help may be used. This will be a double-elimination tournament.

Hearthstone has taken the world by storm, and now players will have a chance to put their decks through the ultimate test. Face off against other cardmasters in the ultimate game of strategy. You may have what it takes to win, but only if you believe in the heart of the cards.

    Pet Battles
Do you think you have what it takes to lead your pets to victory? You're not alone. Bring your battle pets to the Tournament of Ages and prove that you're the best like no one ever was. Complimentary pet check-ups will be offered after the competition is over.

Equestrianism is considered to be a noble sport, one that requires sharp focus and total control over one's steed. In the Tournament of Ages, riders from all over the world will complete the racing circuit at breakneck speed in hopes of being the first to cross the finish line. If you're feeling fast and furious, dust off your spurs and sign up for the Racing Competition.

    Other Competitions

    Booth Awards
Guilds from all over Azeroth have their chance to show off at the tournament grounds for an entire week. Browse through extraordinary curios, taste exotic dishes, witness bedazzling spectacles, and enjoy the rich diversity the tournament has to offer. Booths will be observed by a panel of select judges and awarded on three categories: Fun, Creativity, Spirit.

    Marmot Ball
Originating from the Eastern Kingdoms, Marmot Ball is a brutal sport played by two teams of at least three players where the objective is to punt a large fish between two posts. In times of peace, the sheer violence witnessed in a game of Marmot Ball has served a as a fitting substitute for war. The Tournament of Ages has reluctantly approved the inclusion of Marmot Ball despite protests from DEHTA.

    Costume Awards
Are you Azeroth's next top model? As one of the most well-attended events of the year, the Tournament of Ages is the perfect venue to flaunt the latest in vogue. Costume enthusiasts will get to showcase their ensemble at the Wonderlight Ball where awards will be given to the best in three categories: Fashion, Formal, and Spirit.

    Rhyme Battles
A rhyme battle is a timed game where two contestants try to upstage each other by delivering improvised poetry. The goal of the contest is to impress the audience by (playfully) mocking one's opponent with creative verses. Contestants whose lines do not rhyme may be disqualified.

    Crashin’ Thrashin’ Derby
Who says toys are for children? Bring out your latest Crashin' Thrashin' paraphernalia for an all-out war. Tear your opponents to pieces with the all new Crashin' Thrashin' Shredder, then burn their remains with the Crashin' Thrashin' Flamer. After you're done, dispose of what remains with the Crashin' Thrashin' Killdozer. Oh boy! What a blast! (Pieces sold separately).
It may be Summer, but that's not going to stop anyone from enjoying the snow this year at the Tournament of Ages! Grab a friend and dust off your sled in a thrilling race down the slopes of Icecrown. One person will be on a sled while the other pulls him or her along by a rope. The first one to cross the finish line with their rope still intact wins!

    Photograph Awards
Let's be honest - when you visit the Tournament of Ages, you're likely going to be so distracted with everything that you'll forget to take pictures. Fortunately, we're going to be rewarding those who do. Get out your S.E.L.F.I.E. cameras and wait for just the right moment to capture the perfect photograph.

    Drinking Game
Think you can drink your opponent under the table? Pull up a chair and find out! Have a hilariously good time as you go through kegs upon kegs of Azeroth's finest ale to prove yourself as the patron saint of constitution. Beware! Argent peacekeepers will be on alert for any drunken shenanigans that may occur as a result of this brouhaha.

    Other Events

    Opening / Closing Ceremony
The coliseum stands will be packed with hundreds of spectators from all over the world. Witness the spectacle of a choreographed ceremony with your own eyes, followed by an uplifting speech by one of the Argent Crusade’s own representatives. To finish the night off strong, watch a dazzling fireworks display put on by Blackbriar Consortium. At the close of the week, attend a grand accolade for all the winners of the tournament!

    Date Auction
Looking for a date for the Wonderlight Ball? Look no further! Men and women from all over Azeroth will be sold on stage to the highest bidder for the dance of the evening. Half the proceeds will go towards the prize giveaways later that night while the other half will be kept by the auctioned. This is one event you can't lose!

    Wonderlight Ball
Dress up nice for a night of dancing and revelry at the Terrace of Order in the Storm Peaks. For one night, the Alliance and Horde will put aside their differences to enjoy a peaceful and unforgettable experience under a veil of stars.

Tentative - Please check back later!

As is the case every year, we need volunteers from the Alliance and Horde! Anyone can volunteer as long as they have a sincere willingness to help. Staff will be selected to help coordinate events and maintain the technical side of things so that the tournament runs as smoothly as possible. What’s especially needed this year is referees to monitor the many competitions and contests taking place all week. If you’d like to offer your help, visit the thread on the website titled “[2017] Volunteering”.

From now until August 6, we'll be accepting contributions in the form of gold, pets, mounts, items, and even creative services like artwork or literature. Donors will receive special recognition at the closing ceremony. Our goal is to reach over 1.5 million gold and $350 in prize money. Let’s not stop there!

There are twenty-six booths at the tournament grounds which will be run by guilds from both factions. Each booth will be unique to the guild running it and have new features to experience each day. This year's booths will offer guests a chance to shop, dine, play games, meet interesting people, listen to stories, have their fortunes read, and so much more. To make things even more interesting, awards will be given to the most popular booths at the Closing Ceremony.

The Tournament of Ages staff is teaming up with a charity organization this year to make a positive difference on the lives of those who need it. Our website will provide a button for visitors to donate to the charity securely and directly. We want everyone to have a great time, but we can also do some good while we’re at it.

"Am I still invited if I’m from a different server than Moon Guard?"
All servers are invited to attend the Tournament of Ages, but players must create a character on Moon Guard in order to participate. All prizes must be redeemed on Moon Guard characters only. PVP competitions are restricted to players on Moon Guard who have been on the server for at least three months prior to August 6.

    "Can I change my registration?"
You can change which competitions you're signed up for up until midnight on August 5. Contact one of our staff by leaving a message on the thread titled “[2017] Registration Corrections” on our website. To make sure everything is accurate, we recommend confirming that your registration is up-to-date prior to the start of the event. Please don’t rely on anyone else to register for you to avoid these kinds of problems.

    "How do I donate/sponsor?"
Visit our website and leave a reply in the thread titled "[2017] Donations". We'll confirm the donation with you, then add it to our prize pool. Please note that all donations are final and we will not be refunding them. For special donations like art or creative services, please describe what it is you're offering in detail so that we may account for it during planning.
