Just another concerned wow player. Hoping to get a response to the many issues with dungeons, heirlooms and the overall current state of leveling. Loved playing this game for 10+ years and cant even stand the leveling system right now. Saddening to see it come to this.
After leveling this guy legit for the heritage armor, I have this to say. The leveling still sucks, don't get me wrong, it's definitely longer and more drawn out than I feel it needs to be. However, 1-60 and 80-110 is at least tolerable at best. The worse offender, and the area that STILL needs to be looked at is the level 60-80 bracket. Even after their alleged "fixes" to that bracket, it's still so much slower and soul sucking than any of the other brackets and still needs a lot to be done to it to make it even the slightest bit enjoyable.

Over all, the leveling isn't as bad as I thought it could be outside of the 60-80 bracket, but it's still terrible in general and definitely needs more works/buffs/something.

Pretty much this, this is what's known as a containment thread, somewhere for us to post and thrash about without spilling out and creating the same post over and over again and clogging up the forum with it, which also means Blizzard can blissfully ignore us and keep us swept under the rug.

are yall gonna fix this !@#$ or leave it like it is... literally no reason to play this game right now if you pvp...

gotta get that heroic and mythic gear to even stand a chance in pvp atm. literally a pve grind if you want to hit 2400

Lmao no? My main has gotten multiple pieces of 365+ and He's only 1800, not that hard. You are thinking of legion pvp
I've unlocked these cool allied races and for nothing. The revamp of leveling is not enjoyable. It's unbelievably tedious and you directly nerfed it to boost.. boosts. I just don't understand the xp reduction. I'll come back when this is hopefully fixed.

My allied races still haven't gone to 30 yet it's just so boring to level up.
Last day of game time for me so no more posting here i guess this thread will eventually die off if all the people posting here cancel their subs its kind of sad the direction they took this game used to be so great there werent enough hours in the day to play.

You guys are kidding right? leveling is a joke right now.

I don't think it matters if you can get from 1-120 in 3 hours, you will just want more.

What gives?

Is this a joke?
0/10. Always has been a joke. Picking up poop quests is not meant to be a joke? Or having to kill 30 zebras in the barrens to get 10 hooves is not meant to be a joke? Or killing 20 birds to get 7 beaks is not meant to be a joke? You are just another one that fails at reading. Because if you would have, you would have seen why some folks are not liking the dungeon nerfs that happened in 7.3.5. Something folks have been doing for well over a decade was all of a sudden a bug lol. A bug that took them over 10, or 11 years to figure out hahaha.
First thing is to quit even saying the word bug lol. There was no bug. They called it a bug sure, but nothing says they have to be honest with any of the playerbase anyways( Item level snuck in legion anyone?). If it was a so called bug then it should of been squashed 10, or 11 years ago. Of course they knew people were power leveling for years. Because folks have been power leveling through dungeons since The Burning Crusade days. Plenty of proof of it on youtube, and other places if folks would take the time to search for it. Have 3 of those videos saved in favorites list btw. Linked one before, but cant link the others, because the potty mouths on some of the people were using in a couple of those vids are very offensive, and would not post that kind of trash talk on this, or any other forum for that matter. But it does prove that power leveling friends through dungeons has been a thing, or was a thing for a very long time. Nope it suddenly became a bug after they added allied playable allied races. If heritage armor was part of the reason, well imo heritage armor should of never been tied to leveling a allied race in the first place. That should of been its own separate questline that came with unlocking the races after that horrid rep gating.
Blizzard if the only metric you guys really care about is fun you would add an option to level like we could for years without it being an issue. There is obviously a group of people who wants that myself included. There are ways to do it without ruining peoples experience who like slow leveling by adding in an heirloom that boosts xp but not stats to old leveling standards.
I'm gonna be so burned out on this snail pace leveling that I won't even want to play Classic when it comes out. This pace needs to be at least doubled.

This.

And also, the thing I don't understand is why is so easy to level once you get to 90, heck legion and 8.1BFA (if the post are to be believed) have invasions and incursions that make alt leveling fast. Why can't pre 90 have some love. Or even a restorations of the old pace.

I would be a little more willing to level at current pace if the classes felt complete before level 80, but many just have to much missing for to long in the leveling process it becomes tedious.
I won't let this thread die. Someone needs to answer this.

The OP of this thread that was started back in mid Feb of this year left Blizzard a month or so ago...…… I Highly doubt they will ever post an answer or anything about the feedback given to them written within this thread.

Honestly, I personally believe this was meant to be a containment thread to keep other threads from popping up, Just my opinion.
If you know how to level property it's not to bad now with warmode on along with rested xp.

At Level 70 it's sluggish but not at a pure crawl.
I let all my AR build up rested while I work and 1-2 days a week burn it all in a dungeon or 2. I may hit 110 by 2020 at the rate it's going.

ROFLMAO! So True!
I'm at about 73 on a hunter I'm leveling and leveled a void elf rogue to 110 during the prepatch. it really needs a lot of work.

1. it feels unrewarding. there are large gaps between spells unlocked and new talents. 70-80 is really bad. I had ideas about a new talent system here: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20769587316#post-1

2. xp from dungeons is too low for the time invested. boosting dungeon quest xp would be great.

3. regular quest xp gives around 4-5% per quest on average while wearing heirlooms. this seems too low.

4. no reason to level professions other than herbalist and miner. you should get xp for crafting.

5. quest achievements should give xp. when you finish the achievement for a zone you should get xp.

theres only going to be more levels, having more ways to get xp would help.
