Ulduar 25 Man

General Discussion
Can you not set the difficulty to this anymore?
You never could. Difficult is if you do the fights the hard way.
There has always only been one difficulty.
When they added Ulduar timewalking, they got rid of the ability to set it between 10/25 man, and you now have a chance to get an item from both difficulties.
Ulduar has been fused to one single difficulty. Both 10 and 25 man gear are pooled together and will both potentially drop.

That's not really true, in relation to the OP's question. Back in Wrath, Normal was considered 10m, and Heroic 25m. When ToC added the Heroic difficulty, the size option was also added.

When Ulduar was re-done for Timewalking, the size option got removed and made Flex, scaling the same way as modern raids, with both sizes' loot tables and achievements being merged.

Incorrect. There was always 10 and 25 until Timewalking came out. Then they merged the two and the loot tables together.

This is incorrect, as there always was a 10/25 option starting in Wrath. Going in to Wrath, Blizzard wanted to add a progression path for smaller guilds, hence every raid had a 10 and 25 man mode.

Ulduar was the first raid to add hard modes, and you did them by fulfilling certain objectives during the fight (some as simple as hitting a button with Mim).

With ToC, that is where they added the On/Off switch for heroic modes.
how does one farm mimirons head now?

The same way you always did. Only this time, you don't have to set the difficulty level.

The same way you always have. Mim's head is still on Yogg 0 Light drop table.

Yes, and the method of determining 10/25 in Wrath (up to ToC) was Normal/Heroic, with Normal being 10m and Heroic 25m. ToC switched it from Normal/Heroic being the size toggle, to a different option entirely, and retroactively added the size option to Naxx/Eye/OS/Ulduar.

That's stupid. They changed the whole raid for something that could have been done via LFR phasing.. Dumb A devs..

25 man was never considered heroic at the start of Wrath.

difficulty level

It wasn't a difficulty level, that was just a raid size level.

Difficulty was leaving the towers up, or heartbreaker, or hitting the big red button.
