"An open letter to Ion (Portuguese)"

General Discussion

Amores esfriam e gostos mudam!
UFF DAA...
There's portugese forums you know.
my google translate breaks this page smh
Does Ion speak/read Portuguese?
No but there are a lot of people under the assumption that the CM's for the foreign boards don't pass information to Blizz HQ. They do, but it's also true that more visibility will give things an increased chance for it to be seen by someone at Blizzard rather than hoping the CMs pass it along. So you see these occasionally (more often from the EU/Chinese servers).
I agree. What is the point of Alpha/Beta if they wont take player feedback and just want bug fixes? I got the impression from the very first Alpha videos and with how quick it went to Beta and is being released that they were further along with this expansion than would normally be expected of an Alpha, and that they don't really care about content feedback, they just wanted bux/stress test fixes.

It just was too far ahead and moved too fast for us to ever think content feedback would be considered.

I will post in Portuguese, because as a paying player, I am not obliged to learn another language to demonstrate my indignation. I will do "Textão" yes, an expression often used here in Brazil.

First, I could answer the height of Ion's comment with the same sarcasm and arrogance he demonstrates to players. but I refuse to go down to that level. I came here as player who has played for years, a player who saw the heyday of this game. This game that many players and some content generators insist on saying is declining, I still carry the hope that deep down some inconsistencies of Blizzard can be corrected, not just in terms of lore but also in terms of mechanics and even corporate factors(? not sure what is meant here).

Blizzard has a magnificent game that won the heart of many millions, and which was the inspiration for so many others. However with the passing of time it has stagnated and getting more expensive(expansion costs I think) but back in this race. It has lost many of its initial characteristics, due to pleasing a few sporadic players(casuals maybe?), and has lost touch with players. Thereby failing to meet or understand what players and perhaps the game market has found the best in their MMO's. Great traditional; guilds have withdrawn from the game and taken with them many players, and yet they refuse to accept the obvious.

A game that is not played does not make a profit.

What's the use of doing an Alpha and Beta test if only bugs are fixed? If they do not accept opinions? What is the use of keeping a person as a board member, who, in addition to not listening, mocks their players without a solid argument to support their choices?

I believe we pay that exorbitant amount at every expansion because we like and love the game, we pay the monthly fee religiously every month, because there are our friends there. Many of us have grown up with our characters. We know of Blizzard's ability to create something amazing and wonderful, not only making everyone like it, but convincing us that their choices can be good.

But...

Loves cool, and tastes change!

Best I could do
Thanks Xathra!!!
