No! Dragon Elves!!

>:(

Dragon elves is a horridly stupid idea, imo.

I think that if they did anything draconic we'd see it in the form of a class/hero class because it would avoid the issue of "but why did they get the only dragon race?"

High Elves with a new look and backstory that involves their patron aspect would be killer. It solves almost all the problems discussed with reintroducing the new race except for population levels. Or if some people "don't like" the idea but who really cares what they think. They never like anything.

show them the pick of the female nozdormu
need another version of that with less texturization
so the game engine could handle it (or so says odurren)

odurren is grumpy but pink haired gnomes cheer him up for some reason.

honestly my first like real online friend in the game was a gnome, her and I met picking icecaps. So I guess they give me some kinda of "joy" when seeing them. Still play with her to this day! Such a sweet person (And yes it's like black and white when we're together and I've been dubbed by her a Curmudgeon)

But otherwise punt em

My cooldown is reset though so bring the straw clinging back

The lore that sets them up already explains this. Each new Void Elf created is another Horde High Elf that dabbled in the Void and gets banished from Silvermoon and Quel'thalas because of the threat they pose to the Sunwell.

Don't you think it's funny that the Horde; the faction of the underdogs, kicked out a bunch of Blood Elves for dabbling in the Void.

And then they were allowed to join the Alliance because, I dunno? We promise to be good now? WTF?

The Alliance literally got Horde rejects. People apparently too evil for the Horde? Velen wanted to crush all the Void stuff out in Argus.

How does any of this !@#$ make sense?

lol roflmao convinced you of that?
i typed huge posts full of correctly spelled and sometimes properly punctuated sentences, with research, somettimes artworks of my own, conceptualizations, and roflmao impressed you? roflmao. gotta remember this. if quoting oxford dictionary doesn't impress, link 'em roflmao. :p

Rommath was able to convince their void involvement was threat to the sunwell and because of their studies they were exiled. Which is why he was so hell bent on getting Alleria out of Silvermoon when she went there. And look what happened.

Alleria made contact, and with the heroes (you) help were able to help Umbric with void stuff and kill void things and brokered peace with them and allegiance.

Makes sense to me. I dunno about you. The other stuff said Might need a little more clarity. But they're hardly underdogs in any regard.

To which Blizzard would then say, "The Alliance are waiting for you."

Since that appears to their MO right now. To, in an expansion all about feeling pride for your faction, actually get others to play on the other faction.

Blizzard logic at its finest.

Uh, I'll have what you're smoking.

I mentioned a class and not a race and since classes are available to everyone, how does any of this relate to what I said? If a draconic race was made and was for one side I'd play it while I was on that side, since I.....play both factions *gasp*

It's not like the dragons aren't having a horrible time, Ysera is dead and so is Nozdromu technically (silly timey wimey dragons,) with there only being two black dragons in existence and the blues having a hard time of things even in Legion. And after the loss of the apsects to basically being regular dragons (albeit with experience/etc) really don't see any kind of resurgence of dragonkind. If anything they're basically moving out of the way to let the races of Azeroth take their place.

I think a class of races imbued with draconic energy would be neat (and has tons of options for specs/etc,) but a race seems unlikely even if interesting (and I don't think it'd be dragon elves would it be a thing.)

was the wee lil void critters that caused the exile. they were afraid it would destroy the sunwell. that whole scene is oddly clarifying. it helped me understand lor'themar as a character better. i think he made the right decision for his people. i mean i'd be right angry if the leader let something that destructive in to the sanctum of the sunwell that then proceeded to threaten to summon a void lord, blow up the sunwell, and turn them all into wretched unless they commandeered a few moonwells.
Bon jour y'all! Glad to see the discussion still going, and I'm glad several people have their own concepts.

Personally I'm on the Half Elf route cause I think that's the path with most potential and that is a result of the long standing alliance between Humans and Elves, through thick and thin, I like that.

So I finally updated my edits for Half Elves, also adding eye colors and more tattoos. Although these are intended to be Half Elves, they are just as well my design for High Elves, the only true difference is ear/eyebrow length heh. Conceptually my view of Half Elves is pretty close to my view of High Elves, as I think they both result on a mix of human and thalassian cultures, one "race" is just the more obvious expression of that.

Keeping the tattoos only blue because they are meant to honor Alleria and the Farstrider lineage, and for eye color I kept it simply, by only adding brown, violet, olive and grey to the blue.

These edits are made by using a night elf texture and give them human posture, so imagine this with human animations.

Awesome!

I mean, not dragony enough but ... still cool. I guess.

I dont care about how you said things. With proper punctuation and oxford dictionaries and whatever else, and I never once have ever and will ever put down anyone brilliant Fan Fiction (but I will call it out as such). My position in life has little tolerance for ones need to feel like their impressing. I've heard it all, seen it all, and in my life tried to do it all too.

That's a front I don't wish to face. It's the character inside and thereafter regardless of what is said or how it's said that matters to me. Just like anyone else. If I log on and they want to argue in wispers that fine too. But if they, in the middle of arguing mistell that they need 200K gold for a mount they think is adorable, I'll probably buy them the mount and still argue with them.

I'm just saying if this denial affects you so much to want to entirely quit the game you've loved for so many years, ain't nobody in this world can stop you. But there's also fun in it that you see all around you, you're just not looking at it right now.

Chronicles state the High Elves are Blood Elves and Blood Elves are Horde. Writing matches the game now.

You have it backwards. Blood elves are High Elves and Blood Elves are Horde.

All Blood Elves are High Elves, just as all Void Elves are High Elves too.

All High Elves are NOT Blood Elves or Void Elves though, and all High Elves are certainly not Horde.

So... basically we already have playable high elves in the game in both factions. Really, what is the issue here? Void elves need more personalized customization available to them (in terms of skin, hair and eye color) and the RPers just need to work a bit harder on their backstories and lobby to get Blizzard to add some content for them that covers their lore(which is considerable in that they are high elves). I should imagine this would all be taken care of in the course of time, over BFA's roll-out.
