1.1 & 1.12 Classic WoW Talent Calculator

Never, ever, use these keylogging nonsense private server third party sites.

Use the original, and official, WoW archived website:

So far my keys are not logged.. Then again I really do not care because Legion is kinda meaningless in regard to RPG's because you can catch up in a couple days and your character is sorta meaningless because there is no real community in Legion.

Instead I am just nameless character number 4857

third party websites is how viruses and keyloggers come into play.

Every website is a 3rd party website.
@Nsql

Didn't go through the whole site, but if you want your site to be successful I'd recommend making sure your item search filters are very feature-full. My biggest issue with https://classicdb.ch is that you can only filter items by primary stats. You cannot filter by crit, hit, spell damage, healing, resistance, feral attack power etc... Would be very convenient to be able to do that.

Also do not forget filters for

Use
Chance on hit
Chance on cast
Has use
When X executed = Y effect
Etc..

Modern sites have none of this; and that's where Thottbot was vastly superior.

Also please do not forget spells and to include their coefficients, and attack power bonuses, and calculations for normalization (assuming we get normalized special abilities where applicable)

It's not a Key Logging Third Party Site.

I open-sourced the code today.

https://github.com/BlizzHub/ClassicWoWTalents

If you think I'm trying to keylog you, download the release on Github and run it locally.

I'll forward this information On wards. This is definitely something we can accomplish. Thank you.
It seems a bit buggy. The talent icons often change when I’m assigning points. Like all of a sudden the end talents of Arms have the Improved Overpower icon.

I tested it on mobile and pc just now and the icons never change. The way the icons are set up to load, they shouldn't be changing anyway.

What device are you using? If you are using a pc, is there any chance you could provide or type out any console errors? It's smooth on my end, and you are the only person out of the thousands who have visited the site (google analytics) to mention anything in their feedback.
Can you add mobile support?
About how far out are you guys on an item data base? No pressure, just keeping this at the front of the line because if you guys get a site up that's as good as old Thottbot was, then it will become my absolute default site for these kind's of things.
Updated list of filters
first, thanks for your hard work on the talent calculator.

i would urge everyone (especially #nochanges like myself) to go to the 1.1 trees, and look at just how horrible they used to be!

i have never been much of a geek or study of the talents, itemization or tuning the blizzard has used over the years. but it is no wonder that our guild originally spent so long in MC now. talent trees are that big of a deal.

They're not really that bad, the thing is the new talent trees just gave your character a little more "umph" and that's not really a good thing, but its not bad either.

Just requires that if you're going to use the updated character talent trees, and updated character skills, spells and abilities that you also take measure with the raid bosses them selves to make up for that difference in power factor.

This way the boss plays in a "not changed" kinda way from the original release of that boss. Talking about bosses in MC, BWL, Ony, so on. Basically pre-naxxramas raid bosses.

Whoa, totally derailed there, but overall the game played really good even with the 1.1.0 trees, it was just different and your access to things was a little more limited, but that does not make it bad either.

Says the rogue...

Obviously you never rolled a pally or hunter...
Someone help me answer a question I can’t seem to answer myself. Maybe I fail at inrawebs... sorry.

But was the Hunter 31 point talent for Survival still lacerate in 1.12? Cannot remember for the life of me.

For some odd reason I recall there being a buff after 1.1 and it was AWESOME to be a hunter. And then the TBC talents came a few weeks before launch and then it SUCKED to be a hunter again. Were those TBC talents 1.2? I cannot remember. Been too long. THANKS!
