Just some clarification on this one but yes there should be a quest called "The Speaker's Call" that should begin the Artifact Weapon Overcharge. You will need to complete the prerequisite Magni quests in order to receive "The Speaker's Call". When you complete this it should overcharge your artifact up to Artifact Level 126 which puts you at 75 Concordance. All of the existing traits will function until the pre patch.

Take advantage of the overcharge and go take on things like the Mage Tower, Ahead of the Curve: Argus, and The Chosen. Also don't forget the usual Mythic mount drop chances that will be lowered from their guaranteed 100% at pre patch.
Is there a way we can check what we might be missing? I've done every quest on my warlock, at least I cant find any others, and I don't see the quest available to me.
If you have completed ALL the quests and it is still not showing up try this.

Exit completely. Shutdown BNET. Reopen BNET and then log in. Worked for me, just a logout did not work.

I'm almost to level 80 with my Ashbringer. I wonder if I'll lose everything from 76-79 when I retire mine.

75 concordance is actually weapon level 126. so its a boost for you.

EDIT From Wowhead clearing any Confusion:

"With today's maintenance, the Artifact Retirement quest is now available on live servers! Completing the quest does not render your artifact unusable yet. Completing the quest, instead, maximizes your Artifact Power, leaving your Artifact at level 126 - Concordance of the Legionfall level 75."

Original OP: So is this it, is this the quest where I give up my artifact weapon to remove Sargeras' sword off of Silithus?

So I lose my Artifact Weapon in the process?

Will I still have compensation for losing such a powerful weapon and all its traits and stats? And will the weapon still be transmogable?

I may be misunderstanding you but your own post states it sets you to 126 concordance 75. What is there to worry about?

His original post (where he says Original OP) didn't have the information he added in the edit, so he didn't know what would happen to his weapon. The edit is something he found on WoWhead which clarified it a lot

If I'm higher than Artifact Level 126 and I do the quest, will I actually lose power?

It should only affect Artifacts that are below that value. So if you're above Concordance 75 it should keep you at that Concordance value. However you might notice it jump up in a week or two ;)

This just simply upon completion moves everyone to Concordance 75 and then next week another bump, and then another. You get the picture.

TL;DR: Smash everything.

For your characters not getting the quest, is the artifact at 75 concordance already?

Edit since a blue is above me: If I'm higher than Artifact Level 126 and I do the quest, will I actually lose power?

Your artifact won't be higher than 126 because it's not physically possible to grind that much

And I'm at 79 Concordance. Wouldn't that be more powerful?

It should only affect Artifacts that are below that value. So if you're at Concordance 80 it should keep you at Concordance 80. However you might notice it jump up in a week or two ;)

TL;DR: Smash everything.

Awesome, thanks for the clarification!

Don't forget means this information was given in the past. There has not been a mention of mythic mount having their drop rate lowered at the pre-patch. Traditionally it remains at 100% for the duration of the pre-patch then lowered on expansion launch like for MoP/WoD. Is this no longer the case? Clarification would be appreciated.

Concordance and Artifact Level aren't the same thing. Concordance is just points put into the Concordance trait, artifact level includes every single trait put in.

No 75<79. So you will see no change at all.

I thought mount chance dropped at expansion release, not prepatch. I could have sworn this was confirmed before. Am I wrong?

Will I get a replacement weapon of an ilvl of 1000 or something as compensation?

Nope we are going to get worthless pieces of crap so called normal boring weapons.

Woah, pretty sure this is wrong. I believe Mythic end-boss Mounts haven't been lowered in drop-rate in pre-patch in the past, only at expansion launch.

Would be really disappointed if this is accurate and a new change, seeing as it means not everyone in my guild will be able to get an Ur'zul mount, despite us killing Argus before any nerfs to the fight.
Are there any plans to let us vendor AP again once the quest is completed since you can no longer add ap to the weapon?
Anybody know where Magni's quests start ? I'm on an alt that hasn't done any of his quests.
