Marks of Honor in 8.0

War Mode and World PvP

On a side note, did they change how Marks of Honor drop in the bags after a BG?
Do they only drop for BG's of certain lvls?
Do they only drop for winning a BG?
Do only max level players have a change to get them?

They are in a chest that, I believe, only drops if you win.
I actually have no idea what the Marks of Honor are for. I've got about 18 of them, but haven't found any vendors that sell anything I can use.

There are vendors in the War Emissary area in Boralus that sell profession recipes for the Honorable Combatant's gear and consumables you can use in BGs like the Saltwater Potion that gives +30% damage for a couple of seconds. You can also go to old PvP vendors and buy the gear for transmog... if only we could buy the latest gear with Marks of Honor.

...

That was exactly my experience as well. I ended up trying BGs for the first time ever the other night, and was able to scrounge up enough MoH to get the transmog you see me wearing in my profile picture right now.

It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. My server Wymrest Accord is heavier on the Horde side, and subsequently I was on the winning side 3/4 matches I participated in.
You shouldn't talk if you don't know what you're talking about.

BGs are both cross-faction (mercenaries) and cross-realm and have been for quite a while now. The fact that your realm is more horde populated has nothing to do with your BG performance.

PvP has always had a certain “ick” factor for me primarily because I don’t particularly enjoy hurting others. This coupled with the fact that it typically attracts people who take extreme joy in killing other players and end up becoming high powered bullies that it was never really an attractive feature for me. I know people who enjoy PvP aren’t jerks by default, and I’ve come across a few who were very honorable. But if you happen to be a jackass that loves dominating other people and mocking them while doing it? PvP is heaven.

At least that’s been my experience prior to now. I’m going to try and do BG’s more frequently now to get better at it, if only to be able to defend myself better. If you’re an avid PvPer, you’re probably not an @$$hole. But if you’re an @$$hole, you’re probably an avid PvPer. Maybe me engaging PvP more but being honorable while doing it will give other players a different experience than I had with it?
Honorable? There's nothing unhonorable in doing whatever it takes to win in PvP, as long as you're not cheating. If it's tilting your opponent with emotes or griefing them over and over until they leave, it doesn't matter - you won.

You guys are the very essence of what was wrong with WQ PvP quests. The most hardcore time-spent based rewards from PvP being given out like candy to casual PvErs who can't handle real PvP without crying, but are fully able to press their insta-complete WQ-button in their class order halls on 10 characters a week. Disgusting.

You know something is wrong when the avg. PvEr has a similar or even higher rank than the avg. PvPer.

So much hostility... you might be right about PvErs and quests, or you might not, but what it [i]is[i] true is that people like you are the reason why others dont find BGs enjoyable, and the whole point of this quests is so people could get their hands in pvp recolor gear of past content, the real sweet rewards are still for harcore PvPers, so stop barking, the only reward for these WQs is help to improve cosmetics, and today is for inprove professions, thats it
I can't stand PVP, but if i want to get the highest level recipes for my tradeskills, and and I am a tradeskill junkie, I now have to do PVP.

So, i will be the guy that all the !@#$%y PVPers snivel about not pulling my weight in the match because I am forced to do this to get something that has nothing to do with PVP but Blizzard in their infinite wisdom has made mandatory.
I can confirm that they drop in BGs. I leveled my DH to 120, alternating between dungeons and BGs. I won a quarter of the BGs and earned at most 10 marks (not bad RNG considering I probably ran 40-50 BGs total). But yeah, it's all RNG based. Good luck!

10 marks for 50 battlegrounds is terrible when 6 months ago you could log in and earn 5 in 5 minutes some days. I am not saying that was right, but it was what it was and seems silly to remove now.

I’m simply pointing out the irony of your question.

You want to wear a pvp set without pvping...

The age of entitlement we live in I guess.

Yeah, because we have to work so hard wear old raid tier sets? "Hey alt, here's some gold. Go wear tier 9"

Get out of here with that nonsense.

They drop if you lose too. But winning has a higher chance of getting 2 chests, which means a higher chance of 2 marks.
Honestly these drop crazy frequently in arena's. Not sure about skirmishes through but you can solo queue those

Not much pvp in those warden towers though is there?

Seriously though you should try battlegrounds, they are more fun than grinding mobs..

Acknowledged. I will try them out.

Also test the arena out. I get about 40-60 Mark's a day from about 1 to 2 hours of arena.
Even better blizz how about giving us a way to spend them. I have like 500 of the stupid things.
