Random Lag Spikes

Technical Support
Hello, ever since patch 8.0 I've been dealing with random lag spikes up to around 600ms. My ms is normally around 20-25, and everyone around me will be running in place and no spells will go off for about 10 seconds, and then everything catches up. I ran a WimMTR, and the results are below.

Hey Wergbdrv,

If those latency spikes were happening during the WinMTR test, then it doesn't appear to be happening on the route to the servers. This usually means there is something happening within the computer or modem that is affecting the connection.

For example, old or corrupted UI files could be causing problems, or there may be throttling in the modem. I'd suggest going through these steps to check.

You could also try another network, such as a mobile hotspot. That could help you determine if the issue is with the connection or not.
Some people I have spoken to have turned off their streaming setting in their Blizzard App settings and found favorable results.

I personally know of at least 3-4 other players in different parts of the country under different ISP's having this EXACT same issue from my guild. The fact that it is literally the same issue happening for other players should quickly point to it not being an isolated problem relating to his system or network alone.
